Positive: The rooms are a bit small but it was just me and my spouse so it was perfect. The location was also a plus next to everything we wanted to do.
Negative: The water temp was pretty cold we had to take a fast shower. The shower also seems a bit dirty compared to the rest of the room. The hotel is a bit older so maybe it just needs a bit updating within the bathrooms.
Summary: Would stay again! Exactly what we needed

Positive: Location and Friendly staff as well as the morning coffee bar
Negative: Although it looked very clean, it had a very strong smell of mold. We have allergies so needless to say our breathing was affected. Other than that, it was a very quaint place to stay.
Summary: It was great, minus the mold.

Positive: Great location in Downtown Avalon, but which room you're assigned means everything.
Negative: Historic 120yr old building w/some flaws, depending on which room you're assigned. For a basic one room studio, it was fine for acouple of days. Our room, #42, was located on the 2nd level & sloped heavily to the left. Firm queen bed w/thin pillows, ok size TV & basic amenities. Hot shower w/renovated bathroom helped. If you plan on spending alot of time in your room, you'll be disappointed.

Negative: The doorknob to the bathroom was very loose. Most of the time we had to leave the door open. The shower was very small.
