Summary: The good part was they had an elevator. Only one person at check-in time, whom was also doing laundry and answering the phone. Laundry was downstairs from the main entrance. We were told they were having staffing issues at the property. The rooms were large but needed updating, no view of the ocean from our room. We looked at a couple other room types that may have an ocean view, but they smelt musty and we decided to keep the one we had. Breakfast was okay. The lady that checked us in was super friendly but also run off her feet.. unfortunately we won’t be going back to this property.

Summary: Heron's Landing is our go-to hotel when we need to travel to Campbell River from the North Island for medical appointments or other reasons. I know there have been a few bumps in the transition to new owners and staff, but I think the problems will smooth out. Tannis at the front desk has been so helpful with everything we've needed, even washing and setting aside my son's blanket when we forgot it. The kitchenettes are the bomb, with closets perfect for hide and seek. If you're from North Vancouver Island, there's a discount for locals who need to travel.

Summary: Quaint old building with lovely staff. Cost effective option for stay in Campbell River, whatever you happen to be there for. Breakfast was delightful and fresh.
