Positive: I really didn't know what to expect when we drove through a winding jungle trail and then emerged into this absolutely gorgeous property right on the Sittee river. This truly is a Hidden Paradise. Tom was the most gracious host, inviting us to swim in the beautiful pool, take the kayak out on the river, do yoga or play pool in the great room, or just hang out and relax. Tom is a wealth if information about the area and the things to see and do. This property feels so secluded, yet is very close to Mayan World for adventures, Bocawina National Park and Cockscomb basin for hiking and easy to go to Hopkins for a relaxing dinner by the beach every night. Our room was beautiful and the bed was hands down the most comfortable of our entire trip. Definitely recommend!

Positive: A proper paradise in the middle of the jungle. All sort of trees and fruits that you can imagine. Very quiet and isolated placed. The rooms are beautiful and comfy.

Negative: Driving from the main road until the actual accommodation, it's a gravel road for about 20 minutes.

Positive: First of all, the property is beyond gorgeous. Imagine the most beautiful jungle/rainforest setting you can, with tropical fruit trees, palm trees and dense jungle all around you……A wide, slow-moving jungle river at the front of the property……Tropical birds calling from over head…..smack dab in the middle of this location is where you will find Hidden Paradise Belize. You will feel like you are a million miles from anywhere, but in reality, you are just a short drive to beaches, restaurants, bars and amazing tours and excursions in Belize. The accommodations are comfortable and spotless. The pool was incredibly refreshing and the water crystal clear. The hosts are attentive, caring and knowledgeable. Our experience was just perfect. We even got to see wild parrots, toucans and hummingbirds while walking the grounds!!

Negative: We absolutely loved our 5-night/6-day stay at Hidden Paradise Belize. My only complaint was having to leave this jungle paradise and return home. We will DEFINITELY be coming back soon!

Positive: It is absolutely a Hidden Paradise. From the moringa, jackfruit, cocao trees, to the dock, pool table, pancakes, and everything in between, this place is perfect. I travelled with a small child and she enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay. The local village of Hopkins was lively and full of great folks. We even found the community library and of course the local ice cream shops. The property is very secluded but you can arrange transportation with the host. The pool was wonderful and always the perfect temperature. My little one and I truly enjoyed our stay!

Positive: A hidden gem, a wonderful house that feels more like an extended home than a guest house. Exceptional bedrooms, superbly furnished - had two en-suite bathrooms for one bedroom. Hosted by a great couple Tom and Coco, made us feel more like friends than paying guests. So nice of them to invite us to an evening meal with their friends who were also staying. Access to a kayak for early morning or evening wildlife spotting on the bordering river, and even for an evening trip over to the village on the other side for an evening meal.

Negative: Well it is what it is, but you need to be prepared for a 6 mile drive down a packed dirt road from the Southern Highway. And it's 17 miles into Hopkins. But you're not staying here for bars and noise! The dogs are v friendly but not for everyone.

Summary: Well described - it's a Hidden Paradise.

Negative: Far out of Hopkins and it says that it is 4 miles away. Takes about 35 minutes.

Summary: We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer!

Positive: What a beautiful sanctuary tucked away in the jungle! Very different from the cayes, but in the best way possible. I’m more of an adventurer than a lay on the beach traveler, so this was a great rest point for all our excursions. Tom and Coco were both here for our trip and gave us so many recommendations on things to do nearby: scuba diving in Hopkins and Placencia, hikes in bascombs nature reserve, basically private waterfall swim at Mayan world, and a sunset dinner on a mountaintop where you can see the ocean (rainbow was a bonus!) The room itself was very clean and spacious. Big soft bed with an AC unit was wonderful. My absolute favorite activity to do on property was to wake up at sunrise, grab a cup of coffee from the main house, and sit in the hammock chair on the dock by the river. It was so peaceful just listening to the river and birds fly by. Just make sure to bring your bug spray!

Negative: A little off the beaten path, but it is very private and secluded so that made it worth the long drive.
