Looking for the perfect place for your ski trip or winter getaway? The Hilltop Hideaway is a gorgeous, renovated cabin in the White Mountains with all you could ask for:

*IN THE HOUSE*
- First Bedroom — Master bedroom with 1 king bed (sleeps 2)
- Second Bedroom — Downstairs bedroom with 1 full and 1 twin bed, bunk bed style (sleeps 3)
- Third Bedroom — Downstairs bedroom with 1 full bed (sleeps 2)
- Downstairs Living room / Playroom — sofa and a pool table
- Living room — sofa bed (sleeps 1)
- 2 bathrooms (shower/bath in both)
- Kitchen: contains an electric stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge, coffeemaker, microwave, toaster, hot water heater, and everything else you need to make a home cooked meal (pots, pans, spices, olive oil, etc.)

-Wifi: Need to do a little work or fully work remotely? We have powerful, 400mbps wifi, plenty of outlets for laptops, and table / desk spaces to get work done. Cell service is also great. This cabin is the perfect getaway for a weekend, a full week, or even longer!

Neighborhood
The neighborhood that the house is located in is the Waterville Estates atop the scenic Campton Mountain just north of Lake Winnipesaukee and south of the White Mountains.
We will share a custom guidebook prior to your arrival but here are the highlights:
- Three major New England ski mountains within a 30 minute drive
- Some of the best hiking in the world in the White Mountains including Franconia Notch State Park
- Many classic small New England town perfect for a day or afternoon trip (Plymouth, Meredith, Littleton, etc)
- Lake Squam and Winniepesaukee to the south
- Many great restaurants and take out spots within a short drive!
Guest access
You will have access to the entire house and two guest passes to Waterville Estates Community Center which has a hot tub, several pools, a gym, and arcade room. If there are more than two guests, it costs $10/person/weekday or $20/day/weekend day or holidays.
Other things to note
We've got plenty to do for all ages at the Hilltop Hideaway. With a wide range of board games, fire place, fire pit, charcoal grill, and a full community center you'll have access to - there never has to be a dull moment.
Pothos Stays has on the ground staff if you need anything but the vast majority of guests check-in, enjoy their stay, and check-out with no in-person interaction.

Summary: Very clean and the owners were helpful and quick to respond. Top tub was clean as well. I would recommend this house and we will be coming back next year.

Summary: Property was hidden and good size, stocked well. Trash was overflowing in the shed from previous stays and the hot tub never got warm enough (other reviewers have noted similar problem)some lights not working properly, half decorated Xmas tree. Overall I would not have left a negative review and I didn’t make a stink about any of this as my husband was sick during the visit and I didn’t want to deal with arranging the fixes. Until…after check out I was sent pictures of my shampoo/conditioner residue in the shower. I did pay a cleaning fee so I don’t think scrubbing the shower before check out is an even close to reasonable request. On check in I was informed the prior visitor had ripped the microwave door off, ok no big deal, but then to be accused of staining 2 chairs we sat in for maybe 20 minutes the entire stay I was left feeling disappointed. It was only my husband and I the whole visit and he even swept the floor before leaving, so being reprimanded for shampoo residue and false accusations of staining chairs has left a bad taste in my mouth over the stay. Feeling stressed out Sunday night after a weekend away is not what I expected after our stay. Other hosts usually thank us for being responsible and clean renters and have always welcomed us back.

Summary: The property was well cleaned and the manager was very responsive. However, we booked the stay for the hot tub , and it never got to temperature so we weren’t able to use it.

Summary: We loved our stay here. Golfed on our way up at Lochmere C.C. and also played at Owl's Nest Resort, which is very close to the house. Both golf courses were very well maintained, had lots of character and beautiful views. Explored Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves as well. Really enjoyed ending the day in the hot tub, looking up at the stars. Played a little ping pong and pool as well. Overall a very nice getaway.

Summary: The property overall is everything you can ask for if you want time away from others with family or friends. The house and yard is very clean and comfortable, and the pool table /hot tub was a hit for us! Everything you will need to live in the house is also provided, which is an extremely nice bonus. The recreation area, basketball courts, multiple pools, all were very well maintained and the time spent was enjoyable. I will be looking to stay here again in the future. This one didn't miss on anything!

Summary: The house is just as it's pictured and nestled in the woods which was a super plus for us. Neighboring houses are close enough that you don't feel completely alone, but far enough a way that you wont be bothered by any neighborhood noise. Property team was extremely reachable and was there for every question we had, even suggestions available for things to do. The community center was an added bonus with things for the kids to do. Definitely will go back!

Summary: We had a great time staying here, location is amazing. Some things need updating and fixing such has the stairs being blocked off, deck was missing part of the railing, and lots of the window shades were missing pieces. Hot tub was being serviced during our visit so we were only able to use it our last day, while it was 10 degrees under the normal. Although we wrote a lot of the negatives, we had a blast staying here. Great communication with Allen addressing our concerns!

Summary: The property was a wonderful getaway from the busy work-life. I stayed with a friend and we had a great time. The house is very secluded, but also close to things. There are guest passes to the community center which will give you access to some pools, a sauna and more. I had dinner at the Mad River Tavern one night which was great. Once I discovered the Mad River Coffee House, I stopped there like three times. The jacuzzi was very clean and relaxing after spending many days hiking. There are some great hikes in the area. I highly recommend the AllTrails app to find hikes in the area. I started with the one the host recommended The Artisan Bluffs trail, I also did the yellow jacket trail, and Duck pond. I also discovered that there was a trail right by the house if go all the way down the hill there's a dirt parking lot and some blue trail markers that lead you down a path to the Mad River All and all it was exactly what I had hoped. The house was well stopped, well kept and had everything I needed. I highly recommend.
