High Seas is a spacious, hilltop 2 king size bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage with wonderful views over the blue Atlantic waters. Whether sitting on the deck or inside the house you have a view of the water. Make a coffee using the Keurig or drip coffee machine and watch the sunrise from the deck or lounging on the sofas inside the great room.
The large, open-plan living area is airy and cool thanks to its high ceilings and many windows. There is AC in the living area and both bedrooms as well as ceiling fans. Enjoy your meals on the 400 square foot wrap-around deck with two sets of French doors opening onto the deck. With the cool sea breezes, you can watch the waves breaking at James Point, fishing boats from Harbour Island, or a cruise ship sailing past.
The kitchen has luxury appliances, and a central island/breakfast bar for you to prepare your meals and socialize. The master bedroom has a king size bed and stunning sea views. It leads into a large spa-like ensuite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. The guest bedroom also has a king size bed. The caribbean-style guest bathroom, accessible from the great room, has a bathtub with a stand up shower.
Wireless high speed internet has been installed, and is available for your use. There is a 32" Smart TV with a Netflix subscription available for your use as well as Apple TV and a DVD player.

There are two single person kayaks located at Rainbow Bay Beach for easy access, four beach chairs, snorkeling gear, inflatables, noodles, boogie boards, beach towels and a large cooler (ice packs in the freezer) available for your use.
My fantastic housekeeper lives in Rainbow Bay and is available for any questions that arise during your stay. She also has a vehicle rental business and you definitely need a vehicle to explore Eleuthera and to get down some of the beach roads. I will happily arrange vehicle rental for you with pick up from any airport you arrive into.
'High Seas' is located on a very quiet road, with unobstructed views across native vegetation to the sea. At night, the only sound you will hear is the breaking of the waves on the shore, approximately 400 yards away. Look up and see the stars! There is a hammock for relaxing on the deck, hammock chairs on the deck and many beautiful native trees.
The cottage comes with bedding, towels, beach towels and a washing machine. You can dry clothes outside on the washing line. Dries super fast with great weather!
The property is situated in beautiful Rainbow Bay which is a perfect mid way point on the island so you can head North or South and easily explore. Rainbow Bay is a quiet beach community with a particularly lovely beach on the Caribbean side with palapas and kayaks as well as a very popular restaurant, The Rainbow Inn; it takes 4 minutes to walk to the restaurant from High Seas.
I have a copy of The Beach Book at the house. This will help you discover all the beaches although it will take a few vacations to see all of them!

Summary: We loved staying here. Jackie was so helpful and communicative, and got us hooked up with car (necessary on Eleuthra). We loved Rainbow Beach, which is a quick drive from the house, as well as eating at Delish (our favorite restaraunt). AC in the bedrooms works great -- and the view at night from the back deck was transcendent -- so many stars! Yes, Eleuthra is a bit "rustic" as an experience, but the property is lovely and the calm is addictive. Will definitely be trying to return.

Summary: My husband and I loved staying at High Seas! As this was our first time on Eleuthera, the location was perfect. It enabled us to explore the entire area. The view from the deck was breathtaking- both for sunrises and sunsets. We loved the Sunset Cove and Rainbow Room for supper/drinks and sunset views and friendly staff. Daddy Joe’s, near Gaulding Cay Beach, is a great place for drinks, lite bites and dinner with some dancing! Tippy’s and Poponi Beach are must visits. Be sure to try fresh fruits- pineapple , sugar apples, soursop, sapodilla, etc. We’d come home after our day’s adventure and sleep soundly in our comfy bed and awaken to the morning bird song! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Summary: I find it hard to put into words out trip to Eleuthera! We had been wanting to visit for over 5 years & it did not dissappoint. It was everything we expected & more! High Seas is exactly as advertised - great location, comfortable, clean & had everything we needed during our stay. Laura, who takes care of the property was super easy to deal with - we rented a car from her which was very reliable. We had gotten over to the island earlied then expected & she was quick to accomdate us. Jackie the owner was also super easy to comminicate with. We flew over on Westjet, who were positioned to strike the week before out trip & she was very understaning. Would highly recommend High Seas! Overall wonderful experience! Can't wait to go back

Summary: House is located in a quiet area of the island, on a street with very few other houses (I think two others) so it felt secluded and private. You can hear the Atlantic waves crashing from the balcony! House was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Beds and couches were comfortable. Nice decor. Wi-fi worked great. The natural walk way up to the house is a little uneven and I think railings would be useful for the two sets of stairs to get to the front door (as a person with bilateral knee injuries I just took my time and was fine). Very glad for the bright outdoor lights at night. Had issues with closing the side doors to the porch on the first night. I was able to let Laura know and she sent someone to look at it. He said it was due to the high salted environment and some repairs needed to be done to accommodate. Of note there is a washer in the en suite bathroom with line drying outside at the side of the house. It was so nice having a large amount of clean drinking water available to us when we arrived. You do have to refill this and take out the trash upon departure (trash location is a few minutes drive south; was easy enough to find with the directions provided). Host Jackie was great with communication and provided a very helpful and detailed resource about the island. The Rainbow Room restaurant is a short 5-10 minute walk and it has great food (did not get any drinks) and nice staff. James Cistern neighborhood is about 10 minutes away (has conch stands, bars and restaurants with great views of the sunset). House is about 30 minutes away from Governors Harbor and about 20 minutes from glass window bridge. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property. I was able to find the HGTV episode on Discovery Plus: season 1 episode 12 (entitled “This is not Los Angeles”) of Bahamas Life. Was pretty cool to see this before we arrived!

Summary: What a wonderful experience! The island of Eleuthera is magical! We loved our little yellow house - Jackie, the owner, was easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had. She set us up with our car rental also (thank you Laura!) The house was in a great central location, as it was not too far from many fantastic sights and beaches. The evenings were cool so we could open the windows and hear the waves crashing on the rocks below. The deck is awesome and we spent every morning out there with our breakfast and coffee. The house comes with kayaks, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, cooler and many other items necessary for the beach which we took advantage of and thoroughly enjoyed. As my husband said, "Eleuthera is not for everyone, but if you want an adventure - GO!!" It will be well worth your while and an experience you will never forget! And oh yea, rent Jackie's house too!! :)

Summary: The house is nice and we loved sitting on the back porch. The shrubs and trees block the ocean view but we could hear the waves crash. The island is long and skinny and this house is located in a central area away from noise and crowds. Really nothing is within walking distance which was a little disappointing. The beaches are really beautiful with crystal-clear, blue water but there is a lot of coral rock so there are only a few long beaches to walk on. It is difficult to access some of the better beaches because of lack of signage or good roads. Power and Internet are unreliable but you get use to it. It’s a gorgeous piece of paradise. Don’t miss Hatchet Bay Cave!

Summary: We very much enjoyed our third visit to Eleuthera! Rainbow Bay is perfectly located for visiting all parts of the island. House is an easy drive from North Eleuthera Airport. House itself is cozy and well stocked for all needs. Bed is very comfortable. Plenty of markets right nearby and nice restaurant with super owners and service right there in Rainbow Bay. Rope swings and hammock on the deck are very comfy! We recommended adding two loungers for couples who might want to sun on the deck. Also, view is a little obscured by the now overgrown trees/bushes behind the house but we were informed that is being taken care of soon and will open up the view again. Otherwise, a super house and experience! Jackie (Owner) and Laura (Caretaker) communicated very well and graciously arranged for a rental car for our week. Made it easy! Thanks for a great week’s stay!

Summary: This 2 bedroom home has it all. We loved our stay at High Seas. Jackie was so easy to communicate with and very quick to respond. The home is beautiful, in a quiet location and fully stocked with all the amenities a beach traveler would need. The large back patio is a great place to relax. Everyone on the island was so nice and helpful. It is a place we will definitely visit again.
