Summary: Needed a few days to recharge and was blown away. The views are simply amazing and the drive down the gravel road to get to the property was one of the main highlights for us. Upon arrival everything from the outside to the inside was very clean and tidy. You can tell the owners take pride in hosting their guest. If you need a few days from the hustle and bustle this is the place to go. Communication with the host was impeccable,(Thank you Teresa) Cant wait to get back here for an even longer stay.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at this Hill Country house. The owners were very nice, frequently checking on us. The house was very clean with comfortable living room, as described online but with room for improvement regarding a few things (limited silverware and glassware, low water pressure, upstairs A/C insufficient on hot days). The location is very peaceful and the views are absolutely amazing. Totally worth it!

Summary: When the rooster crows at the break of dawn, look out on the Texas Hill Country and you’ll be gone— away— transported to a higher place than the here-on-earth. The property features sea fossil hunting, hiking trails, wildlife viewing and sightseeing from family-style chairs atop of a hill. The views alone are worth the price of admission, but Lonesome Dove Hill Country Cabin hosts comfortable beds and cozy communal living spaces, as well. We left our dog at home, but would recommend you bring yours along. It’s dog-friendly, and there’s nowhere a dog would enjoy more than the stomping grounds at Lonesome Dove Hill Country Cabin.

Summary: We make an annual trip to the Texas Hill Wineries. Lonesome Dove was a great location for our favorite places. We enjoy the quiet, remote places to stay and this was right on target. Remote enough with a one hour drive max to the best wineries. The view was spectacular and the home was clean and comfortable.
