Modern Stately home on a large hill on the edge of the City of Harrisonburg, The home is in the super quiet neighborhood of Park View. Massanutten and the Blue ridge mountains in the front. The Allegheny mountains and miles of rolling farmland in the back. THE CITY REQUIRES THAT THE OWNER LIVE ON THE PROPERTY FULL TIME. HOWEVER, IT IS IN A COMPLETELY SEPARATE DWELLING NEXT TO THE GARAGE OF THE SAME STUCTURE. THERE IS NO DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE MAIN HOUSE. Once you arrive you cannot believe you are in only 5 minutes from downtown, JMU and EMU. The chef's kitchen was designed by a local Restaurateur. The George Washington and Jefferson National forest and The Shenandoah national park are all about 30 minutes away. You can also visit Skyline Drive, The Appalachian Trail and Massanutten Resort. We have tons to do for kids like the national parks and forests, Luray, Grand, and Shenandoah caverns, river rafting, biking, Massanutten water park, Explore more children's museum, Frontier culture museum which has a lot of activities and plenty of parks and a community pool.
We allow a maximum of 12 people including children for overnight. Due to neighborhood restrictions Gatherings must be less than 16 people and over by 10pm and NO outside noise other than a normal conversation after 10pm. In house catering services available.. We have a pack and play but you must bring your own sheets and blankets for it.

Summary: The house was perfect for our stay. Close to JMU and the kitchen was fabulous to cook a big meal. The views were spectacular at sunset.

Summary: Wonderful stay with our daughter, a Bridgewater student. Due to her LAX schedule she couldn’t come home for Easter so we came down to celebrate with her and a few of the girls who were also not able to go home. The kitchen is fabulous, the views are amazing. Highly recommend! Thank you David

Summary: The house was absolutely beautiful. It was extremely clean and as shown in pics however communication with owner was poor. We couldn’t get in at first and we called and messaged owner with no response.We figured it out ourselves thankfully. He wakes one of the couples up at 5:00am saying no one was supposed to be in the house which made everyone nervous but it was quickly followed up with an apology. Overall the stay was perfect for us and we’d book again.

Summary: Great house with lots of room. The fifth bedroom is actually the living room, but the young adults didnt mind. Plenty of room to spread out. Wonderful chef's kitchen. AMAZING VIEWS

Summary: We stayed at David's home for our son's graduation from JMU PA program and the house was perfect! David kept it immaculate and the space/bedrooms were fantastic. We hosted an impromptu open house for the graduates and the space worked out perfectly. The location could not have been more convenient to the campus, the downtown and everything we needed to do. The views were to die for - one view was the local countryside and the other direction was overlooking the town. David was a gracious host and the house was fantastic.

Summary: We celebrated Thanksgiving with our family in this beautiful home on top of a hill overlooking both mountain ranges. The kitchen was superb with double ovens, 6 burner range top and two sinks. The bedrooms were all good size, as were the bathrooms. The early morning sun does make itself known in the bedrooms facing the front of the house. There was ample space to lounge around after all the eating. The grocery store is a quick drive also. Overall, a good experience for all.

Summary: This beautiful and well-stocked home was perfect for our stay in Harrisonburg for a family wedding. It was convenient to everything, including our venue. The views from both sides of the house were simply amazing-city lights and stars from the front and peaceful farmland from the back. Our host was very responsive to any questions and provided all we needed for a great home base for our stay.
