Summary: The resort is massive. Great location, easy walking to a variety of stores. Because of the size of the resort and the amount of guests, the pools were very crowded. The pools were actually smaller than what i believed them to be from the pictures. The room was comfortable and fairly quite, beds comfy. We did enjoy the beach access and nightly entertainment. When we encountered service needs in our room, texting with resort staff was easy and quickly remedied the issue.

Summary: Room has nice view - chain smokers on balcony below we could not enjoy the balcony much and could not leave balcony door open while room smelled like cigarettes. Security could not help.

Summary: Good afternoon, I actually would like to file a complaint regarding discrepancy and lack of transparency in regards to the total price paid for the entirety of the stay. Here is the breakdown: Part 1. Price summary CA $5,714.31 CA $692.03 Taxes CA $870.10   Subtotal CA $5,714.31 Locally collected mandatory fees/taxes* CA $600.06 Total CA $6,314.37 In terms of CA $600.06. What additional taxes am I paying as I already covered taxes above ? Then part 2 Check out Receip: $780 for additional resort fees and taxes? Paying $5,714 is the resort fee, why is there additional $52 per day fee? Then why are the 3rd time around taxes? This is a transparency issue. Then issue of massive discrepancy. While stating at the resort and talking to the other guest it became clear to me that the other guest are staying for a total of $1,500 for entire 7 days, yes I will add it was in the other towers than the Rainbow, but that is a massively cheaper. Another example is that my sister in law was able to stay at the same time with us for a total of $2,700, and there was no additional resort surcharge and she has a shuttle service to the airport. To add her room was facing the lagoon instead of the ocean view, however the room quality was identical, she still had ocean view like I did and lagoon view was much nicer than my direct view of the podium roof top that was littered with birds and their excrements. And to add she had a much higher floor with a better view, I was at 6 level

Summary: First off this place is huge with multiple towers. I have been to Hawaii many times but never stayed at this particular location. They first put me in a room in the rainbow tower over looking the pool when I paid for an ocean view room. I went back to the front desk and they moved me to a different tower, the kalia tower with a view of the ocean. This tower was so outdated everything was chipped and old from the baseboards to the bathroom vanity and furniture. It definitely wasn't worth the price. The staff at all the restaurants really seemed rushed and lacked that island vibe. And a little girl drowned in the pool while we were there. The waterslides in the kids pool were so little that was a huge bummer maybe great for a 2-3 year old. Aside from those things the amenities of Hawaii was amazing and we did have a great family vacation. There was so much to do right in that area and the food was excellent. We walked everywhere by foot. Won't stay here again but enjoyed ourselves.

Summary: My biggest problem was that we come from a colder climate and the ac would only go to 69 degrees which meant the room was always 71 to 78 degrees. Sleeping was very difficult until we went out and purchased a fan. The resort only allows ac to set at 69. I know a lot of people who like sleeping in the warm conditions but I don’t. It’s a small thing but I just thought I’d pass it on
