Positive: This is a cozy old Ryokan. We stayed one night and had dinner and breakfast. The room we had overlooked the bay, and was beautiful both at night and morning. The have a very nice huge bathhouse split between women and men. We were there on a Friday night and the spa was empty. We had it to ourself on our respective sides and enjoyed the hot water. It was kind of funny as crabs live between the floorboards given how close to water the inn is. I almost got a heart attack when showering when one tried to get friendly with me, but ultimately he became my companion and I watched them curiously as I bathed
Negative: The food was ok, not the greatest but very decent, local certainly. Staff was very kind but felt a little fazed at needing to speak English at reception.
