Positive: Good location. Easy to park

Negative: A little tired. Shower drain needed emptying. Sink plug stuck down, the fridge moaned to itself in the cupboard all night and I couldn’t get at the socket to unplug it.

Positive: Very friendly and helpful staff, we felt very welcomed every single time when we were entering the building. There is a family atmosphere also during breakfast. The room was well furnished with a new bathroom, all very clean, also the swimming pool and its amenities. Thank you for making our stay so nice!

Positive: The location of the Hiona Beach Hotel is good. It is close to the attractive village of Palaekastro with its many tavernas and a 20 to 30 minute walk to Hiona Beach itself. The surrounding countryside is lovely. We hired a car only for three out of the 14 days we spent at the hotel, and clearly having a car all the time may have been a better option. That said, there are many beautiful walks. The swimming pool, although shallow, was very welcome and well appointed.

Negative: The hotel is looking rather tired and could do with a facelift. For the cost of the accommodation, the hotel tried hard to produce a good breakfast, but the result was disappointing and the coffee unpleasant.

Summary: A very pleasant stay in a beautiful, unspoilt area of Crete.

Positive: Nice quiet location, very nice pool area and decent breakfast. The staff was very gründlich and helpful all the time!!!

Negative: My room and bathroom was super small and the balcony faced the backyard and did not have a nice view.
