Located on the Property of Camp DeWolfe "Benson House" is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. The three-story house, overlooking the Long Island Sound, has spectacular views of the sunset, and is suitable for retreats, groups, and family reunions. The Benson House has three ground-floor meeting spaces. There are seven bedrooms on the second and third floors accommodating 17 single guests or up to 26 guests in shared accommodations.
All rental properties are kept private, and you are welcome to participate in activities that are provided free of charge. Other buildings on site may also be rented during your stay, however all buildings are separate from other another, and in different areas of the facility. We are confident that you will enjoy your stay at Camp DeWolfe and enjoy the grounds and access to the LI Sound.
Kayaking, Paddle-boarding and Canoeing are offered to guests from May 1st- September 31st. Climbing, Bike Rental and Archery are offered year round if scheduled in advance of arrival, subject to weather conditions.
Camp DeWolfe’s 19-acre beachfront property is open Year round for everyone to enjoy. Camp DeWolfe welcomes people of all ages, generations, backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities for year-round rentals, retreats, conferences and meetings. Camp DeWolfe’s hospitality ministry serves all church denominations, youth groups, colleges, schools, family reunions, alumni groups, community service projects, businesses and offers volunteer opportunities, of up to 150 guests, for both day and overnight retreats. There are programmed adult retreats hosted by the Camp DeWolfe team and Adventure Challenge programs for team-building workshops on the Low and High Ropes Course too.

Summary: Took our staff of 12 on our annual planning retreat to this beautiful location. Unbeatable view with stunning sunsets. The house had plenty of space for all with comfortable beds and clean rooms. We love to cook together - the kitchen was large enough to fit many at once though the stove was a little finicky - we cooked 3 square meals a day just fine. We met in the back room which was perfect as it provided light and a beautiful view. We met outdoors at times and spread out throughout the property. We grilled in the firepit and had many amazing nights by the fire. The staff enjoyed the incredible private beach access though we were unable to take advantage of the pool except for once as it closed at 5, and we often met till 5. On our last day many went kayaking, and the waters were perfect. The staff was friendly and we’ll return for our annual retreat and pass the word on for larger conferences. So delighted we found this space.

Summary: 7 hours ago My family stayed in the historic Benson House here for a relaxed reunion/retreat the past few days. The house is huge and there was plenty of room for all our extended family (about 17 people). The house is “antique”, so gear your expectations accordingly; beds were comfortable and we had enough hot water. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen, though a little smallish, sufficed. We grilled out several times and that worked very well. The grounds are beautiful and there’s lots to do for all ages. We saw groundhogs, deer, raccoons, and dozens of squirrels. Our favorite thing was sitting and talking around the fire pit (wood is provided), gazing out at the magnificent view of Long Island Sound. The location is secluded but relatively close to grocery, restaurants, shopping, and vineyards. The property manager, Matt, was super responsive and went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. This was probably the best vacation we have ever taken all together and would highly recommend Camp DeWolfe - we would love to return!

Summary: The view was breathtaking. The property had more than enough beds for the large group. The complex was quiet, and no one bothered us. The beach is a 5 minute walk and couldn't have been more beautiful. I can't recommend this place enough for a quiet getaway.

Summary: The photos do not give the view behind the house justice! Stunning views of the long island sound. Matt was communicative throughout the whole process. We had a lot of privacy and tons of space in the house. Each room was very clean and many had their own fragrant scent. During our stay, we did some archery, walked down to the beach, as well as go in the pool for a bit. Kitchen was stocked with lots of plates, bowls, pans, cutlery, etc. An abundance of bathrooms was a plus! Would highly recommend the listing and would absolutely return!
