Our home is just steps from the Huckleberry Trail and Southgate Drive, Lane Stadium and Cassell Coliseum are a short half-mile away; so, put the car keys on the dresser and get ready for a weekend in Blacksburg. A big VT Welcome sign greets you at the door – letting you know you are home.
Our newly renovated home was designed for fun – a modern house with retro vibes. Get ready to take a trip down memory lane – a throwback to those college days when Ferris took the day off and Marty went back in time.
To dust off those morning cobwebs, we have all options available – Keurig, Mr. Coffee, an electric kettle, and a blender. We’ve even provided some starter options – just in case it’s a late-night arrival with no time to go to Kroger. If you are wondering – yes, you are close enough to walk to Kroger in the morning.
With an enclosed porch and a large backyard for tailgating, the only stress you’ll have on game day will be if we win or lose. Our well-stocked kitchen is going to make prepping for that tailgate a breeze, including the game day essential -- a crockpot. There is plenty of room to have that tailgate right at the house – a furnished porch, complete with a bar cart, great backyard; and let's not forget the natural gas Weber grill.
After the excitement of the big game, the large sectional sofa in the family room is the perfect spot to watch game day highlights or grab 90’s Trivial Pursuit from the cabinet and see how much you remember from back in the day. Don’t forget to bring your boom box or your speaker – the disco ball is provided.
If there is a chill in the air and it’s a beautiful night in Blacksburg, make sure you pack stuff for smores – there is a firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs out back that will be calling your name.
For those that need to work while they are in Blacksburg, you will find two desks in the house – one in the “office” and one in the primary bedroom. Our internet speed is not going to add to your work stress either.
It doesn’t need to be a game weekend to enjoy Blacksburg. The home is the perfect place for friends to gather for an alumni weekend or the best Hokie parent home base – plenty of room to have your son/daughter and their friends over. This is the Hokie Heaven you always wanted.
This one-level home has four bedrooms, including two primaries each with an en suite shower bathroom. Bedrooms 3 & 4 share a full shower/tub bath. Our bathroom amenities include towels; body wash; shampoo; conditioner; hair dryer; make-up mirror; qtips; floss picks; and beauty cotton rounds. And if you happen to forget your toothbrush and toothpaste – we can help with that too.
We welcome your four-legged buddies, advanced approval is required. Dogs only, no cats. Maximum of 2 dogs; each dog 50lb maximum weight. Once approved, you will be billed a non-refundable pet deposit of $100 per dog.

Summary: We came for the first home football game of the season, the house was outstanding and helped make for a memorable trip. We had 3 generations of family together, the house was comfortable for all and had what we needed to make the most of the weekend. Walk to the stadium was manageable, Kroger was conveniently close, and the backyard was great for our tailgate.

Summary: We went to visit our daughter at Virginia Tech for the weekend. There were 8 of us. This house was in the perfect location. It was comfortable, and there was plenty of space for all of us (and our dog). We would love to stay here again.

Summary: My family gathered at the home over the weekend to celebrate my Daughter’s wedding. It was a beautiful place to receive family. The open floor plan with the dining room communicating with the living room facilitated great conversations among different groups of family members. The large well stocked kitchen was an asset when we prepared the family meal. The back porch was a delightful place to enjoy morning coffee and watch the sunrise! The large backyard was perfect for fun family activities of cornhole and frisbee throwing! The close proximity to the Huckleberry Trail was enjoyed by family members going for morning exercise runs and for evening after dinner walks. The towels/linens were superb! Very thick, fluffy, absorbent luxury towels made me feel like I was at the spa! This place is a true Gem! We will be coming back to this location for future family gatherings! Rating = Five stars and beyond!

Summary: This property is perfect if you are hosting a big group of friends or family. It has a convenient location in a nice neighborhood and has a lot of beds and bathrooms in order to fit your guests. Would definitely recommend. Hosts are so easy to work with as well!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in the home- it was quaint, comfortable and very convenient for walking to the Stadium, Center St and nearby Kroger. Had a couple of small issues that were quickly addressed by the host. It is nice that they live nearby and could pop over to check in. We did pay around triple the nightly rental rate presumably because it was Family Weekend at Tech and a football game on Saturday night and I can’t say it was worth the triple per night price tag we paid but do feel it is worth the regular nightly rate for the convenience to campus and number of beds/sleeping spaces.

Summary: We needed something close to the German Club at Virginia Tech where are daughter was getting married and this house was perfect! A great layout and many special extras in every room. The kitchen had everything we needed as well! Thr laundry included soap and fabric softener as well! The owners were preemptive in making sure we had everything we needed to check in and they were quick to respond to any questions that we had. The house felt like a home for the time we were there and the location was fantastic! Thanks for a great experience!

Summary: Geoff and Wendy were a great host! The check-in process was so easy and they were so amazing to deal with! Would stay there in a heartbeat! I have a friend whose daughter goes to Virginia Tech, and they love the rental so much they are going to rent it another weekend!
