Positive: The Holiday Cottage in Santa Lucia was really a nice place to feel at home. We used both bedrooms, one bed could be a bit more firm for our taste. Aside from that we slept really well. The nearby church is not a problem, because it stops ringing after 23:00 o' clock. We were also able to use the BBQ on the second terrace, which we did several times. There is one bakery close to the apartment and a grocery store, which sells nearly everything, although it is very small. Carlos, our host, was very helpful and gave us a lot of tips what to visit on the island. The small town of Santa Lucia was really adorable, very clean and a lot friendly people.
Negative: The only thing we missed was a little bit of salt, pepper and maybe olive oil in the kitchen, because if you need to buy it during a vacation, it is mostly difficult to get it in small sizes for 1 week.

Positive: We had the most incredible time in Santa Lucia. The village is very cute and far from the most touristic places, perfect if you want to rest. The host was incredibly kind and helpful. The house was very cute and clean. How delightful it was to enjoy the sun on the terrace while refreshing in the pool ! We recommended this location to our families and friends more than any other places that we went to in Gran Canaria !
Negative: Nothing ! Everything was perfect.
Summary: Wonderful place, couldn't recommend more !

Positive: My friend and I had a wonderful stay at 'Casa de Carlos'!  The property is nicely maintained and surprisingly spacious. The terrace is a good size and although it overlooks the road, this is a mountain road and therefore not super busy or noisy, apart from the occasional motorbike convoy! There are two good restaurants at the bottom of the street and two others which are a short walk away. It's easy to park (if you have a car) and there are two convenience stores and two bakeries nearby. The mountain road is a little scary to drive on, but it's fine after a bit of practice. It only takes an hour or so to get to the beaches on the south coast. Everywhere is easily accessible by either braving the mountain roads or jumping onto the motorway. Carlos is a wonderful host and couldn't do enough to help us!  If you want to experience Gran Canaria without staying in a resort, if you love to wake up to beautiful scenery and are looking for a relaxing break away from the crowds, this is a great place to stay. I thoroughly recommend it.
Negative: The property would benefit from having a newer 'Smart' TV so that guests can log into their own streaming services, such as Netflix etc. As my friend and I were there for two weeks, we did spend some evenings in and found the English- speaking channels to be a bit limited, (mainly news channels)
