Visit the castle ruins in Wangenbourg at 17 km or roam around in Saint Louis at 13 km which is known for its crystal works. For a little peaceful time you can travel to the lakes in Sarrebourg or Abreschviller. The tennis court is just 3 km away from you and same is the distance for the restaurants and general shops.

Summary: Wij hebben het prima naar ons zin gehad in en om dit huis. De steile oprit is de 1e keer even wennen en de tip om vanaf de andere kant erop te rijden was zeer bruikbaar. De buren hebben wel wat dieren lopen, maar daar hebben we niet veel last van gehad (de hond blaft alleen als er iemand langsloopt en dat is niet vaak, en de haan hebben we niet voor 10 uur gehoord). De omgeving is leuk om te wandelen, met best een beetje hoogteverschil. De scheepslift in Saint-Louis Arzviller is leuk om eens in werking te zien. En Straatsburg is een leuk stadje, waarbij de P&R wel handig is om gebruik van te maken. Wel een uurtje rijden, maar dat kan je dan combineren met boodschappen doen, want dat is ook al gauw een half uurtje rijden vanaf de woning. N.B. De sleutelbeheerder Margot is heel vriendelijk en spreekt Duits en Frans

Summary: We hebben twee heerlijke weken vakantie achter de rug in dit rustig gelegen huis. Het huis ligt vrij afgelegen op een heuvel vlakbij Dabo. De buren hebben ganzen, schapen, kippen (en een haan) en hond. Naast de af en toe te horen haan en hond is het er erg stil. Vanuit het huis is een prachtige rotswandeling te maken Circuit du dieu Baldur. Goed voorziene supermarkt in het dorp Dabo. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. Bezienswaardigheden in de regio zijn de rots van Dabo, de scheepslift in Arzviller, Concentratiekamp Natzweiler-Struthof, berg Le Donon, stadje Saverne, Maisons de trogloditiques. Zwemmen kan prima in het meertje in Walscheid. Kortom een prachtige plek om dit deel van de Vogezen te ontdekken! In Sarrebourg (half uurtje rijden) is een Lidl en er zijn grote supermarkten.

Summary: De sleutel lag volgens afspraak (mailcontact) binnen. Het huis ziet eruit als op de foto's. De ligging is aan een smalle doodlopende weg. Prachtige omgeving, zeer goede en mooie wandelmogelijkheden. Veel te doen/bezichtigen.

Summary: Vanaf het dorp Dabo rij je over een weggetje de berg op langs een paar mooie rotsformaties. bij het huis moet je een stukje omhoogrijden naar de parkeerplaats (handiger is om even door te rijden en te keren en dan vooruit er op te rijden) Het huis was netjes en schoon toen we aankwamen, sleutel had de eigenaresse van te voren laten weten dat deze in de garage hing (in de garage is een wasmachine en droger aanwezig!) De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien, elektrisch gasstel met oven, grote koelkast met vriesvak, vaatwasmachine(!) in de woonkamer een grote eettafel met 8 stoelen, een bank met stoelen en (kleine) TV maar prima beeld. grote tuin die om het huis heengaat met een paar lekkere loungestoelen en een buitenset en barbecue. boven 3 slaapkamers, 2 2-persoonsbedden en 1 kamer met 3 1-persoonsbedden, en een ledikantje. genoeg kastruimte en nachtlampjes. een badkamer met bad en toilet, op de 1e verdieping een apart toilet en een aparte douche. Was erg goed te doen met 2 volwassennen en 5 kinderen. luiken voor de ramen waren erg fijn toen het zo warm was (het was 40 graden toen we er waren) je zit heel vrij, ernaast is een boerderij maar het enige dat je hoord is af toe de waakhond of de ganzen. In Dabo is een supermarktje en ongeveer 25 minuten rijden een grote Intermache in Phalsbourg. We zijn naar het kerkje op de rots in Dabo geweest (erg mooi), naar een kasteelruine in Lutzenbourg en naar Straatsburg, mooie stad met een centrum met echt middeleeuws karakter. vanaf de woning zijn meerdere wandelroutes te nemen over de berg (Grand Ballerstein) we hebben de route van 8 kilometer genomen en is erg mooi met bos, rotsen en hoogteverschillen. De gastvrouw was erg vriendelijke en behulpzaam.

Summary: We werden hartelijk ontvangen door de Duits ( en Engels) sprekende gastvrouw. Er stond een fles bubbels voor ons klaar. Het vakantiehuis is goed ingericht, van alles wat je nodig hebt is er voldoende, echter misten wij wel opscheplepels zoals wij gewend zijn. Ook misten we handdoek haakjes in de keuken. De bedden waren helaas niet lang genoeg voor twee personen in ons reisgezelschap. Ook hebben wij de problemen met het matras ondervonden waarover al eerder is geschreven. Wel een prachtige omgeving, maar jammer dat de hanen van de buurman zowel 's nachts als overdag kraaien.

Summary: Vriendelijke ontvangst, ruim huis, mooie ligging. Indrukwekkende rotsen, langs de weg naar vakantiehuis. Tuin om het huis bevat veel insecten en vogels. Bij warm weer voldoende schaduw door overkapping. Vanuit huis en in de omgeving zijn mooie wandelingen, welke zeer goed zijn aangegeven, te maken met prachtige rotspartijen. Een aanrader voor sportieve wandelaars.

Summary: Aankomst prima, vriendelijke gastvrouw. Het huis is ruim en de locatie is heel stil en prachtig. Fijn dat er twee badkamers zijn waarvan eentje met ligbad. De keukenspullen moeten wel een keer nagelopen worden en het een en ander vervangen. Incomplete pannen, losse teflonlaag in de koekenpan en superbotte keukenmessen. Het huis ligt wel een eindje lopen/fietsen van het centrum.
