Travel Purpose: business

Positive: A holiday house just to ourselves, with quiet all around us, was a wonderful experience. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was reasonably good for cooking. The beds were okay, and the bathroom as well. The insulation and the heating were excellent: we were in comfort despite howling winds and -10 degrees outside. The owners of the farm were nice people. Although we haven't interacted much, they've brought our kids a couple of sleds one time to enjoy the snow outside. Be aware that you have to bring your own towels and linen. Or maybe order sets of them as a service, well ahead of arrival. To us, this was ambiguous up until we arrived.

Negative: The property seems to be managed by a company that sends lots of (generally useful) automated messages, but when I had a question, I couldn't get anyone to write back to me or to pick up the phone. Given that we were to arrive in the cold and the dark, and had no idea whether we could get help from anyone on site if needed, this was not very comforting. A more thorough cleaning of the house, especially around the kitchen, would have been appreciated.
