Summary: We got a spotless four-story house in a fantastic position in the middle of the old town and close to the cable car station. A unique view over the river made our mornings calming. However, due to its many stairs, the house is not exactly suitable for very small kids and seniors. We were a bit disappointed that some basics, such as shampoos and kitchen paper towels, were not provided, and sleeping pillows were relatively small, but it did not disturb our stay. Overall, we had an enjoyable time for a reasonable price.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at this property in Bad Wildbad that was our base for exploration around the Black Forest area. Frau Baier-Kolb, the owner and manager, provided very detailed instructions for the home and parking (even though we did have to use Google to translate the German to English and vice versa, which was not a problem – hurray for the internet!). This historic home has been thoughtfully renovated and was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed opening the windows to listen to the small river right outside. There are a couple of areas where the ceilings are quite low, so taller visitors need to be a bit cautious. Also, the stairs to the upper floors are very narrow, which is to be expected in this type of home but require a little extra attention especially when coming down. The bathrooms are very modern and nicely laid out. Please note that the property is within a car-free zone and parking is about a 10-minute walk away. Frau Baier-Kolb provided a special permit during our stay that allowed us to unload our luggage and then move our car to the parking lot at the Lidl a couple of blocks away.

Summary: Stayed in this house two families of four. Location of the house - the very center of the city. To the bakery walk 3 minutes. To store EDEKA and LIDL 10-15 minute walk along the river. Parking - 10 minutes. Restaurant - on the contrary. Very sweet and friendly hostess Brunhilde. The decor in the house has a cozy stay. The kitchen has everything you need. Sleeps comfortable. The house is situated just above the river, where ducks and fish. A five-minute walk to a large park, where guests can walk. Four days we did not have. In this town as clean air, which has a measured rest and cleanse the head of the working noise. We all loved it! Thanks Brunhilde!

Summary: We enjoyed our holiday here in 2012 so much that we returned again in 2013. The spacious house is beautifully presented and has everything that we needed. The attractive living room and master bedroom overlook the river Enz which rushes by. The bathroom is stunning, with a massive walk-in shower and lovely bath. The large top bedroom has two comfortable double sofa beds. The owners were friendly and easy to communicate with and ensured that we were met at the house on arrival. Our first trip was as a family with two children (aged 8 and 10) and the second trip was just two adults - the house worked perfectly on both occasions. The house is very quiet with very little traffic in the area. It is not possible to park directly next to the house, but you can park nearby. The area is fabulous with lots to see and do in the town and nearby - for families, there is a choice of stunning outdoor swimming pools within a few miles which were very popular with our children as part of our day out. The town has a good range of places to eat out and a couple of supermarkets in walking distance of the house - although you would also be well advised to visit the butcher / deli on the pedestrian road behind the house. There is a beautiful park that runs from the town along the river where you can spend a happy hour or two, and of course you can take the funicular up to the top of the mountain and take any number of walks through the woods. Ask the tourist information about the 'barefoot walks' in the area - our children just loved them! We couldn't recommend this holiday house more highly.
