Summary: Ok stay, nothing special. Second time I’ve been in this hotel, I believe different rooms. They smell very much like cigarettes.

Summary: I'm not sure what it was , could have been chemicals used to clean the hallway carpets but the entire first floor of the hotel except for our room had the nastiest smell . It was overwhelming .

Summary: The showers were disgusting and had a yellow lining and the room was not even properly cleaned. I checked in at 9pm and found a bag of candy and empty water bottles in the closet. At least the bed was made and looked clean… Too tired to even deal with it but this will be the last time I stay here and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone and I am often in Southington for work.

Summary: This was my second time staying at this Holiday Inn Express as I was in the area to visit Lake Compounce, which was only about ten minutes away. I ate at the nearby Wood N Tap for dinner which was great too! I checked in later in evening, around 10pm, and at check in, staff was on the phone with a customer, so I had to wait a few minutes. He did not apologize for the delay and was rather flat, simply asking "Checking in?" as a greeting. At least he checked me in quickly and I got a room on 3rd floor, facing the back, as requested. Check out was similar, with a woman taking the key card and not asking about my stay, but did say to have a good day. The rest of the experience was great. This hotel was recently renovated and my room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The light behind the headboard was out though and it was missing a coffee maker I remembered having from a previous stay. I was in room 331 I believe, which was next to Ice Machine, and they seemed to bunch guests together, so I heard doors closing often, but it was otherwise quiet. The beds were comfortable and I liked the soft and firm pillow choices. No bar of soap and shower pressure was good not great. Bathroom was quite clean though. AC worked well, but it was off when I arrived, room was very warm, and it took a couple of hours to cool off. Breakfast was fine overall, it was restocked, and the coffee was great! Omelettes were a bit burnt though and scrambled eggs were mediocre. I would stay again.

Summary: Not as nice as other holiday inns I’ve stayed in. Kinda dirty actually. Chipped pain in the rooms stains on the wall & tables were dirty. Not my favorite for sure

Summary: Check in was good. The room was damp. Not sure why. It felt like it needed a dehumidifier. There were hairs on the bathroom floor, it seemed like it wasn’t cleaned well.

Summary: Stayed for 2 nights with hubby and daughter for 4th of july weekend to lake compounce only 9 minutes away from this hotel. Service , cleanliness and food was great ,pool was fun. will definitely stay again. Will definitely recommend to friends. They offered free complimentary breakfast buffet from 6am-10am i recomend getting breakfast before 9 as food gets low around that time but there are lots of great choices. Fresh coffee available all day for free. Great time! See you next time
