Summary: Recent stay at Holiday Inn was generally okay, but there were some noticeable drawbacks that impacted the experience. On the positive side, the hotel's location was excellent, being very close to Lübeck's charming Old Town, which made exploring easy. The pool was also a great amenity for the kids, providing a fun way for them to unwind. However, the most significant issue was the sound insulation. Our specific room was also very close to the lifts, which contributed to the problem. Conversations, footsteps, and other activities from adjacent rooms and the hallway could be heard quite easily. This made it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep. While the stay was not terrible, the noise level was a consistent problem. I would recommend this hotel for short stays or for those less sensitive to noise, but it's definitely something to be aware of.

Summary: Good location to the old town. Was only about a 5 minute walk. The hotel itself was nothing spectacular but it was quiet. Our balcony was really sticky when we checked in but rinsed it with water and it was fine. A really good feature is the filtered water station, both still and bubbled, that was available for free. Free onsite parking was very limited but they also have paid underground parking onsite
