Summary: My friend and I stayed at this cabin because she wanted a cabin in the mountains with scary movies for her birthday. It should be noted upon arrival that there is extremely little cell service so make sure you screenshot your check-in and check-out info! Overall we ended up having a great time but I want to make the hosts and other customers aware of some issues: - There is indeed no WiFi and barely enough cell service to get by in case of emergencies. Installing some basic WiFi would go a long way. - When we arrived, the DVD player did not work. This has to be regularly checked if you are not offering any WiFi. Yes there is satellite dish but most people are probably not there to watch basic television. However, we had enough service to contact the host and they did graciously bring us a new DVD player as well as some cleaning supplies. - That being said, there were no cleaning supplies in the house for a host that wants us to clean so thoroughly before leaving. There wasn’t even any hand soap in the bathrooms, so we were washing our hands with whatever shampoo or body wash was left on the counter. - Biggest problem: THERE ARE WASP NESTS EVERYWHERE outside. I’m talking like 10-15 active wasp nests. Please get someone out there to take care of those because that’s a serious safety hazard. - Last but not least, the grills were filthy. The cabin is beautiful and the hot tub was absolutely fantastic. We ended up enjoying our time after making a few compromises.

Summary: This cabin is beautiful. Just seems like the owner doesn't care to keep up the maintenance properly to create a good guest experience. Cabin has most likely been there a long time as it's age is starting to show. Beware of large hornets nest on the satellite dish, multiple wasp nests on back porch. We stayed over towards the master bedroom side of the porch to avoid getting stung.Back porch doesn't have any light. Bring your own lantern.Hot tub had quite a bit of sediment in it and the pool net for debris was broken. Owner said they would bring one over but never showed up or responded to additional messages. Hot tub cover is in rough shape. The handles on the master bathtub are broken and need to be replaced and we could only get the hot water to work. There were spiderwebs in the master shower. Coffee pot was missing the top part making it unusable. Couch is well worn and home could use some lamps. With a little TLC this cabin could be amazing but due to lack of owner upkeep it's showing it's age and the previous reviews were correct in there lower ratings. I'm sure this cabin once got stellar reviews but the owner needs to work to keep a good rating especially since there still charging a premium price. For an older cabin that is lacking in maintenance and cleanliness the price there asking is too high in my opinion. Also, the view from the back porch is mostly covered by trees in the summer. We were slightly disappointed although we still made the best of it.

Summary: We haven't even entered the house yet, we saw a lot of little piles of chewed through wood everywhere on the porch. The wasp nest was hanging in corner of the entry door right above our heads. Inside the house there were dead bugs everywhere. Floor, couch, sink. Bath tub had both hot and cold water handles broken. Spiders sitting inside sink and bath tub. Hot tub outside had barely warm water that was not clear and resembled the pond with bugs floating in it and a lot of dead tree foliage. Kitchen window glass was broken. If you have small kids, be ware of the unfinished basement. The door to the basement was not locked securely and the stairs down did not have rails. We were only renting this house for one night and we end up not staying there because of all issues listed above and the fact that I am allergic to wasps. The owner informed us that the glass for the window is being ordered and that exterminators were working in the house earlier that wee. He did offer to send cleaners and the repair man. In our opinion the cleaning was supposed to be done BEFORE we arrived, not after! We were only supposed to be there for one night, spending half of that time with cleaners and repairman was not appealing. In addition I had lung surgery the following Monday. Risking my health conditions by exposing myself to any wasps or any other bugs Saturday night before my surgery was not an option. We were very disappointed and had to turn around and go home.

Summary: We are usually very pleased with VRBO rentals...but not this one!! First off: the owner/manager said weeks ago he would refund us part of our cost since only 2 adults were staying the entire time yet we were charged for 5 adults. We never received that money and more importantly, he never, ever responded to additional messages. He literally went dark! As soon as we opened the door to the cabin for the first time, the fireplace was on and nobody was there. Who leaves a fireplace running with nobody home?? We tried to turn it off but apparently the shut-off is broken so the fireplace ran the entire time we were there - even when we were not home!!! The hot & cold handles for the master bath tub are not attached - they just pull off so you cannot use that tub. The outside of the gas grill was covered in bird droppings so we had to scrub it ourself before we could use it! The light under the microwave - which helps to illuminate the stove top - doesn't work. The couch is beyond pathetic - HUGE lumps in the cushions. I read in an earlier review (from 4 weeks ago) that the owner said a new couch was on order so I'm not sure if that is true and it just has not arrived yet or if the owner was trying to pacify the previous renter. The 1/2 bath in the hallway has an entry door that is too big so you cannot use the sink in that room because you cannot open the door enough to access that sink. The kitchen is not well stocked!!! Enough utensils for 4 adults only!

Summary: We stayed here towards the end of February. The cabin could be very nice. It’s not a luxury cabin. They want you to clean when you leave! The broom was about two ft long. The handle was broken. Had to sweep up corn chips as soon as I came in the door. The hot tub had a lemon and other debris in it. The jacuzzi tub was filthy. Wife had to clean it. Crap was on the toilet seat. She cleaned that too. Only one shower head worked in the dual shower. A window was broken. The sofa was the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever sit on. I sent the owner a list of things that were wrong and he said he has a new sofa on order and that he would refund me twice the cleaning fee. He never refunded the fee. I emailed him again but never heard back. Oh well. His loss. I had told him that we would be back in December if he would address the issues. He said he would but he didn’t.

Summary: My husband and I decided to escape normal life for a last minute over night get away to the mountains. We found this home available and they allow pets which was perfect for a cheaper price than most places. This home was gorgeous on the inside. A cozy log cabin with the inside updated in luxury. The master bedroom had a bathroom to envy with a 2 person shower and jetted tub. The deck was our favorite spot to watch the sun go down behind the serene mountain view and hot tub to relax in. The grill on site allowed us to grill up some steaks for an intimate delicious meal with little fuss. Per other reviews i did pack paper towels. I would suggest bringing any staples such as that with you just in case they are running low. Owners ask you take trash with you when you leave but they will dispose for you for a small additional fee. We took jt with us as it really was no trouble. The area is close to everythjng but enough of the grid to provide privacy and a peaceful getaway. Cell service is very limited and there is no wifi. Some people may see that as a con but we found jt to be a positive supporting our desire ro disconnect from the world and reconnect with eachother without the distractions of our phones. It was an amazinf night away in a beautiful log cabin and we plan on returning with our family next time as it has plenty of room to sleep up to 8 people conformtably, 3 bedrooms and 2 chairs that fold out to beds in the living room.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay so much. It snowed the first night we were there and it was magical. The host, Scott, was so helpful with all of our questions and was easy to contact. We will book this house again.

Summary: This property is misrepresented in the listing and is certainly not “luxurious.” View is ok. Hot tub was very dirty and disgusting. The host did come and drain/clean it when I complained but we lost the use for half our stay. Faucets for the jacuzzi tub were broken and stripped so we could not us that tub. Garbage thrown over the deck on the hill below was everywhere, including a towel hanging in a tree! The living room couch had springs bulging through the cushions and was VERY uncomfortable. No check-in binder. Front outdoor lights were not working so it was very dark entering at night, a safety issue. Many bugs inside, especially stink bugs. No Wi-Fi. Cell phone service hit and miss. Crack in front window. Toilet had to be shut off at the intake valve because it ran constantly. This place has not been maintained and a doubt if there really is a cleaning crew after visits. Nice layout, all on one floor but this plays is way, way overpriced. Worst place I have stayed from a quality, value and cleanliness perspective.
