The residence features multiple indoor and outdoor areas to dine and lounge, including a wood-burning fireplace in the dramatic living room, and wraparound outdoor decks, all boasting jaw-dropping views of the surrounding Berkshire mountains. The home features four large bedrooms each with private bathrooms, while the primary bedroom suite also features a fireplace, seating area, private outdoor deck and outdoor shower.
With panoramic view over the Berkshire mountains and the lush Hudson Valley, this open plan home is a strikingly modern contrast to the beauty and nature beyond. The living, dining and kitchen open to the pool and sunny deck with plenty of sun loungers as well as covered outdoor dining with barbecue, multiple seating areas and a pool house. Upstairs you can retreat to the private master wing featuring a luxurious bathroom with soaking tub, large sitting area, gas fire, study and private deck. In the upper-level guest wing, you'll find two large bedrooms, both with private full bathrooms and queen sized beds. A private lower level, boasts another sunny bedroom with attached en suite bathroom, as well as a media room with comfy sofas and an oversized television where guests can catch up on their favorite movies and TV. This level also boasts stunning views and access to the grounds. Attached to the house is a heated double garage for outdoor gear storage.

Summary: We just got home from an incredible stay in Hillsdale, New York. The pictures were great, but the house is even more stunning in person, exceeding our expectations! It was very comfortably appointed and we had everything that we needed! Really well located - close to skiing at Catamount, outings to Hudson NY and amazing restaurants! The owner kindly left us a list of places to visit and all of the restaurants suggested were delicious! The house is modern, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Many great spaces with amazing views throughout! Our teenage boys enjoyed it as much as we did. The master was gorgeous and felt like a private getaway!! The owner was super user-friendly and responsive addressing any questions but mostly we felt like welcome guests.

Summary: This house is architecturally magnificent, and the view is phenomenal. We stayed for the first 5 days of June when it was mostly rainy and cool, and still the deck and vista were wonderful. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we enjoyed cooking in the house a couple times when we were not eating out at great Hudson and Great Barrington restaurants. The master bedroom is very special, with its own sitting area and deck. A perfect honeymoon or anniversary setting for a vacation in the Berkshires-- with its many great museums, sculpture gardens, dance and theater a short drive away. Highly recommend. We'll be back.

Summary: This was a perfect vacation home! It is on the top of a mountain, up an unpaved road through the woods with no neighbors, except trees, birds and small animals.The pristine modern interior design & artwork had a calming effect. The two story glass architecture gives a gorgeous panoramic view of mountains and tree tops. The furnishings take full advantage of the all the views. There is a table under cover outside on the deck to eat meals while watching beautiful sunsets, as well as a private deck off the master bedroom that is nicely furnished. Every room has a view and each bedroom has a very nice en suite bath. The four adults in our family each had private space. The master bedroom also has a comfortable sitting area with a view. One word of caution is to bring a sleep mask if you do not want to be awoken at sunrise because none of the windows have curtains. I loved being woken to see the mist hanging over the mountains, then when it burned off, I'd go back to sleep. The location is great for outdoor activities and cultural events. We saw several plays in both NY and MA., including an outdoor production of a Shakespeare play preceded by a picnic dinner. We went hiking along waterfalls and white water rafted. If you are old enough to remember Arlo Guthrie's song, Alice's Restaurant, the Church where Alice lived and the Thanksgiving dinner took place is nearby and well worth the visit. The owner was very helpful beforehand in making suggestions for activities and left a long list of local restaurants & grocery stores with addresses/phones and descriptions - don't miss Guidos for organic veggies, meats and prepared foods. I highly recommend this house and look forward to returning to experience another season. We were there during the summer, but there are working fireplaces for winter and fall will be spectacular! Thank you, Peter, for a wonderful vacation destination!
