Summary: First impressions very negative, dirty carpets, chipped walls poor lighting inadequate lift. However the room was spotless, with microscopic bathroom .good breakfast , quite generous but uninspiring evening dinner More suited to business stay, but really close to cruise terminal.

Summary: Great hotel, central location, close to Central Station and Opera House. Comfy room, though small. Great choice at breakfast. Having dinner included was a huge bonus and made the Bastion excellent value

Summary: Buffet dinner at night was a bonus and free coffee available all day. Near railway station and transport links. Our bedroom had a jacuzzi bath which we dis not expect.

Summary: The excellent meals made our stay very relaxing. The staff was amazing. It was immaculate and quiet. But our room was way too small. The makeshift shower was very difficult. I am slim and I had to turn sideways to walk between the end of the bed and the TV. I heard that other rooms are quite large, but ours should have only had a twin bed.

Summary: Hotel was great. Staff friendly and polite. Food was really lovely. The evening buffet was all healthy salads and whole foods. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. The staff left a present in the room as it was my daughter’s birthday during our stay. Highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Summary: Expedia failed to tell you something. This is a half board hotel, meaning breakfast and dinner are included. I was pleasantly surprised. This is probably my favorite hotel of all time. I can’t tell you how fantastic it is. The beds were some of the most comfortable hotel beds ever. The bedding is top grade. All the employees were fantastic except one. They do have one awful younger woman who works during the day. She has blinding hair. All others were fantastic. The food was delicious! I was shocked, even their Mexican food (dinner changes daily) was great! I’m from Texas, but now live in New England. The Mexican food in New England is terrible. Oslo has beaten New England in Mexican cuisine lol We will definitely stay here again. You should definitely stay here!
