Positive: Houseman Gerald was very pleasant. He went and got a towel for my son when he was swimming. Every person who we interacted with during our stay was lovely. Very helpful and polite. Had dinner at the restaurant and the food was really good. Just like our last stay the bartender was super nice and did well keeping up considering he was the only one working and it was busy. The free breakfast was good. Room was clean and well stocked for a long stay
Negative: Pool towels were not out in the evening and again in the morning but Houseman Gerald got some for us before we were done.
Summary: Decent hotel, reasonable price, close to UAB hospital

Negative: The check in process was terrible. We had two rooms. One was ready and the other was not. We were told they were cleaning rooms and they would call us when one was available. We waited for about an hour and went back downstairs waited in line but it was not ready. We went back at 410 and were told to stand in back of line for the third time and room was still not ready! I spoke to GM and they finally found us a room on another floor! The Gm was very understanding that we had plans and was on a time constraint.

Positive: The room was very clean. It was a nice room, wish we had been there for longer to enjoy the room but we were only there for the night for a doctors appointment at UAB. Very convenient location for visiting UAB. We ate at the bar for dinner after we arrived. The food was very good especially the fries, and the fried avocados. We had the free breakfast and it was ok. Pool looked nice from our window but we didn't get a chance to use it since we arrived late and left early. The staff was very pleasant. The bartender was awesome, he was the only person working the restaurant and it was fairly busy. He kept up pretty well for how overwhelmed he was.
Negative: The floors in the hallways and by the elevators was very dirty. Someone spilled something on the floor near the elevators in both the lobby and on the floor we were staying on and it was still there in the morning when we were leaving. The bartender was alone working the restaurant and bar area by himself. It took a while to place our order and for our food to come out as he was very overwhelmed. Definitely not complaining about him, just the lack of staff working there.
