Positive: Nothing to speak of. The bedroom was small and the shower leaked. The Hostel is under new management and they are in the process of restructuring.

Positive: The main advantage of this hotel is, of course, its price. You won't be surprised by luxurious beds or a huge selection of breakfast dishes here, but, in my opinion, the owners try to make your stay comfortable. The hotel itself was quiet, with no noise. But you should keep in mind that the hotel is located in the city center, so unfortunately, there will be some noise from the street. The room also has good internet, with a speed of about 500 Mbps. The breakfast is modest but varied – you can make yourself a sandwich, drink coffee/tea or orange juice, and there are also different types of granola with yogurt. This may not be a plus for everyone, but I liked that the rooms do not have daily towel/paper replacement – I consider this a pointless service from expensive hotels. The hotel also provides waste sorting. Of course, there is only one small bin in the room, but you can take your waste to the kitchen and dispose of it in separate bins. The hotel definitely cares about the environment, which I like
Negative: When I booked the room, I received another email with the hotel rules. There was nothing unusual about them, but various fees and penalties for non-compliance were listed in capital letters. There was even a deposit! And there was a mandatory requirement for online check-in. At first, I was scared and even thought it was a scam. However, in the end, I didn't need to check in online, and I didn't pay any deposit. The hotel manager explained to me that it was probably just a leftover artifact from the previous owners of the hotel and that they were now trying to make the service more customer-friendly. So, I think they'll fix it soon.

Positive: We were very satisfied with our stay at Sant Antoni Hostal. The lady at the reception was extremely kind and helpful. Before arriving, we had read quite a few negative comments, but none of them reflected our experience — everything was great. We didn’t even have to pay a deposit, and the cleaning lady took out the trash every morning, which was a nice touch. The location is excellent, which was the most important thing for us — close to everything we needed and easy to get around. The only downside was that the internet didn’t work during the night, and the breakfast could use a bit more variety in savory options. We don’t eat pork, and unfortunately, all the cold cuts were pork-based. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this place to others. If you care more about location and price than the look of the accommodation, this is a great choice — after all, you don’t come to Barcelona to stay in the hostel all day!
