Positive: It is a cozy old fashioned hostel. It locates 5 min walking from the main railway station. The stuff was very friendly. The room and common areas were clean. My room was spacious and has everything I needed. There are tea, coffee, sugar and set of dishes and equipment for cooking at the kitchen. There is a choice of toiletries in the bathrooms.
Negative: Unpleasant smell in the room that stays in spite of air freshener.

Positive: Lovely place, very friendly, close to the train station and not far from Ostrava centre. Clean, comfortable, more like a hotel than hostel. I have stayed in hotels that were less nicely decorated than tis place.
Negative: In summer you need windows open at night and the road (trams) can be a bit noisy.

Positive: The hostel is a gem in Ostrava. A nice friendly welcome from the staff. The place and people are so relaxed. It has the feel of a real Czech house with comfortable furniture, many places to sit, a nice kitchen, books to read. Very homely. Not for the traveller wanting all modern and sophisticated. I loved it!

Positive: I was a bit late and came later than we agreed, but they were so friendly and gave me a warm welcome with biscuits even so. I can really recommend this historic place and the friendly staff.

Positive: - located near the main train station and well connected to the rest of the city with tram lines - designed in a nice vintage style, but without the host's things in the room - helpful personnel - the kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a gas stove and lots of dishes - good curtains on windows (although the holder on the wall was loose in my room)
Negative: - Bathroom stalls are a bit tight and there are no hooks to hang stuff if you have something in your hands

Positive: This place is good if you need a quick stopover, location is good, couple bus stops from train station. Women bathroom have some women staff which was nice.
Negative: Hostel itself is very basic, smell is not good, looks like they allowed smoking some time ago. Not recommended for long stay.
