Positive: Basic accommodation. Clean. Okay host. Secure entrance. We asked for a double but were given a bunk bed instead. Toilet downstairs. Has a kitchen but we didn't use it. Slightly far from town, but good cheap local eateries

Positive: We stayed at this hostel before and after hiking to the summit of Cotopaxi :) the owner is really helpful to organize such a trip, he has all the equipment and the experience is really good price. We enjoyed our stay!

Positive: The hotel manager was very nice and helpful. It's a very basic room but was a bit dusty/ dirty. It's a 20-25 minute walk from the bus station so it's a little far..
Negative: The walls are a bit thin. You can hear the doorbell and people on the stairwell walking and talking. It wasn't too bad but it's not ideal. There was some confusion with the rooms even though we had a private bathroom, the dorm next to us was instructed to use our bathroom as their 'shared' bathroom which was weird but I couldn't find the manager to confirm at the time.

Negative: First we book name of double room but it was dormitory 4beds room. When we booked they didn’t show picture of room. And toilet was not so clean. staffs were not so kind, mood was weird. There were nice living room but not uncomfortable to stay around the house.

Positive: We spent three nights in a family room with a big and comfortable bed with a lot of space in the room. There is hot water in the shower, toilet paper, (towels to rent for 0,80 ctvs). Kitchen available with everything you can need. It’s around 10’ walking from the city center, 20’ from the bus terminal.
Negative: The owner/worker wanted to give us a room with a broken bathroom that supposedly they were going to fix in the next hours but we asked to put us in a already all working bedroom, he accepted. There are no keys for the bedrooms so you cannot lock it and there is no lockers for your values. He offered us a chain to put in the wardrobe with our locker. Two from three nights at 9PM the living room was full of people from outside the hostel and both times celebrating a birthday with extremely loud music for 1 hour (until around 10PM). It was impossible to rest or try to watch something on your own to distract, the level of the music was insane. There was a cat always in the living room that run away upstairs meowing so much that I had to take care of him during this disturbing time. There is a super friendly dog (Alaska) in the rooftop that seems to suffer from not interaction with others, always alone. We are not sure if she is taken care of.

Positive: The hostel took care of me and sent information about the real cost of the taxi. The cheapest price in Latacunga. There is a supermarket close to the hostel. The kitchen has everything you need. This street is not noisy.
Negative: Be careful: the hostel organizes tours, but they can be canceled up to 5 minutes before the departure time. Usually there's no receptionist. No lockers.
