Summary: A very pretty hotel with lots of character, and the restaurant itself is a lovely space. Unfortunately, our experience was quite mixed. Our room was extremely dated and, honestly, quite depressing. It felt like it was in need of significant updating. The reception service was also disappointing. The member of staff we dealt with seemed quite aloof, and on several occasions when we passed her around the hotel she wouldn’t even acknowledge us. There was no goodbye when we left for dinner, which didn’t feel particularly welcoming. The restaurant service was generally good, but the prices felt excessive. I specifically asked if a fish dish could be prepared without the chorizo as I don’t eat meat. Despite this, it arrived with chorizo. I pointed this out to the waiter, but nothing was done to rectify it and I was still charged the full price. My girlfriend also doesn’t eat meat, so we asked for chips and vegetables instead. What arrived was literally just chips and vegetables, yet we were charged €17 for them, which felt unreasonable. There are definitely positives, the building, setting and restaurant atmosphere are all lovely, but the dated room, indifferent reception service and disappointing handling of our dietary requests meant three stars felt fair.

Summary: Overall ok, but unacceptable not to have warm water for the evening shower- and the issue was not fixed.

Summary: Very nice staff with a good restaurant and great wine list. Rooms are a bit old and WiFi signal is bad. Not equipped with kettle and no free drinking water is provided.

Summary: Stayed here for the third time and had a lovely stay. Nice size room which was clean and comfortable. Bathroom modern. Dinner in the restaurant was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Summary: Nice accommodations and location, but a bit of sleepy village and hotel did not have a pool. The bar/lounge area was never staffed with lights off most of the time.

Summary: Convenient and smart hotel with an excellent outdoor area and restaurant layout. An amazing wine list. Restraunt had pretentions of premium value - but the food we had was merely ok. We chose to have a Congnac after dinner in the garden at 10.30 - the staff closed the hotel and switched off all of the internal lights before completely disappearing. I actually thought that there was a power cut. Very odd behaviour and very bad practice.
