3 Bedroom Cabin in Kabletown, Harpers Ferry

Summary:
Welcome to Huckleberry Hill, hosted by Blue Maple!
A secluded, colorful cabin nestled in the woods of WV - ready for your Harpers Ferry getaway with family, friends or small group.
The highlights:
- Relax in the outdoor hot tub!
- Hang out and grill on the deck!
- Enjoy game night in the lower level game room (ping pong, foosball, SmartTV - fun for all ages)
- Drive 20 mins into downtown Harpers Ferry for great shops, restaurants, & river kayak/tubing rentals
The Space:
Our fun-filled, newly-renovated cabin is bright, open with high ceilings, a fun game room, hot tub, deck with propane grill and fully stocked kitchen. Huckleberry Hill is the perfect home base for your Harpers Ferry getaway!
The cabin includes:
- Three large bedrooms (two queen beds and a bunk bed), plus two sleeper sofa chairs in the game room
- Open main room with exposed-beam ceiling
- Fully-stocked kitchen with granite counter, dishwasher, stove/oven, and microwave
- A spacious deck for relaxing and grilling
- Outdoor hot tub perfect for relaxing
- Downstairs game room -- ping-pong, foosball tables and a SmartTV (tons of fun for kids and “big kids”!)
- Fast, reliable WiFi that's more than enough to stream movies and hold video calls
- Central AC and heat to keep you perfectly comfortable, no matter the weather
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
Please note: For the safety of all our guests and furry friends, Jefferson County requires that any pets brought to the property be up to date on their rabies vaccination.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
Beyond the cabin itself, the Harpers Ferry area is great for so many reasons -- and Huckleberry Hill is just a short drive to everything. Take in Civil War history in downtown Harpers Ferry, float down the Shenandoah River, go hiking in the woods, or explore the local wineries, breweries, and fantastic restaurants our area has to offer!

Summary: Overall, we had a great stay! There was plenty to do in the local area, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The game room was a lot of fun—the ping pong table was a big hit for us adults; however, the foosball table would probably be more enjoyable for kids, as it is on the smaller side. We also appreciated the closet stocked with board games. One highlight of our trip was rafting with River Riders—highly recommend asking for Jeff as your guide! He was fantastic! The cabin was just as described in the listing. A couple of things to keep in mind: the walkway from the driveway to the front door is quite narrow and lined with large rocks, which made it a bit tricky for our older guests to navigate. Also, since the cabin is located on steep gravel mountain roads, it’s best to have a vehicle that can handle those conditions.Giving cleanliness 4/5 stars — the interior was clean, but the outside could have used a bit more attention. The host was great with communication—we were able to reach them day or night, and they were very responsive and helpful. All in all, a very enjoyable stay!

Summary: The kids area and the hot tub were fantastic. The rooms and kitchen worked well. Entire place could use a deep clean and paint touch up. Multiple broken items upon arrival that needed fixing including a kitchen cabinet dining table chair bedroom closet. Laundry room was really dirty and awkwardly placed filled with other sheets and blankets - not washing detergent provided. Only got 6 towels - asked for additional and a few spares and never received them. The place served its purpose we enjoyed the time in the country and mountains but wouldn’t stay again unless the issues were addresses. Lastly the deck has some broken boards and soft spots so we were not really able to use it. Overall place needs to be fixed up a bit. We enjoyed our time together.

Summary: The pictures are decieving. They make it seem really nice and luxry. THE DECK does not look like it does in the pictures its all rotted out. The hot tub was not useable, the kitchen was gross and the place was infested with ants. we also unfortunately were there during a water boil effect. The doors inside didnt lock. The kitchen was practically falling apart. The grounds were also not maintained and there was more crab grass weeds and fallen trees that was was depicted. The fan in the bathroom was broken, the stove knobs were all wonky and one point the stove wouldnt trun off. Luckily we got that taken care of.. i would NOT recommended this to anyone nor will i ever use them or any of their other properties in the future.

Summary: This cabins location is very remote which is what we were looking for. Absolutely recommend AWD vehicles only. The host was excellent in his response to texts and checking in with us along our stay. I did inform the host that the cleaning service is less than mediocre. The basement and steps were clearly not vacuumed with visible clumps of leaves, dirt and debris. The return vents were caked in dust and animal hair. The beds and linens were up to par and mattresses slept well. The hot tub was a great addition as well as the game room (even though it was filthy, the kids didn’t seem to mind). I think we would stay here again if we were assured the cleaning was up to par.

Summary: Nice remote location but the house definitely needs some updates. The property wasn't as clean as it should have been, definitely not vacuumed. Good size for our group of 5 and close to Harper's Ferry. Host always gave quick responses.
