The Space:
Our spacious cabin has all the comforts of home, just nestled away in the WV mountains. Lynwood Chalet is fun for couples, families, or groups of friends -- and is the perfect home base for your getaway!
The cabin includes:
- Outdoor hot tub perfect for relaxing
- Two bedrooms – one with a queen bed, the other with a queen/twin bunk bed (we also have a Joybird pullout sleeper sofa in the living room that’s very comfortable)
- A spacious, wraparound deck & grill for relaxing with the whole group
- Fully-stocked kitchen with a stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher
- Fast, reliable WiFi that’s more than enough to stream movies and hold video calls
- Central air (heat and AC) to keep you comfortable
- Wood-burning fireplace to curl up next to and get cozy at night
- Open main room with plenty of natural light and new wood floors
- Outdoor fire pit to wind down the evening with s’mores!
- An outdoor yard game treasure box full of activities for kids and adults: corn hole, volleyball, soccer and kick balls, horseshoes, and many more!
Our cabin is located in The Woods Resort, a private community with an 18-hole golf course (with low green fees), spa, a restaurant and pub, and miles of walking/hiking trails. It’s considered the best course in the area, and the pub food is pretty great too!
During your stay, you'll have access to the members-only Sports Center, the perfect option for a wintery or rainy day (and just a 5 minute walk from the cabin). The Sports Center includes:
- Indoor heated swimming pool
- Large whirlpool
- Tennis court
- Racquetball court
- Multi-purpose court for volleyball and basketball
- Fully equipped exercise room with free-weights and many workout machines
(Note: because the Sports Center is for members only, we need to set aside guest passes for your use. We’re charged a per-day fee for each guest over 5 years old – but we’re happy to provide these for you free of charge! If you plan to use the Sports Center, just call or text us that morning and we’ll be sure they set aside passes for you and your group.) :)
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
Beyond the cabin itself, the Hedgesville / Berkeley Springs area is great for so many reasons -- and Lynwood Chalet is just a short drive to everything. The town has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US, with dozens of shops and restaurants, and even has two breweries and a winery!

Summary: We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was very clean and everything we needed was there for us. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub right there on the deck. It was beautiful. Sitting out in the morning on the deck and watching golfers come by. The beds were very comfortable and our host was very responsive to any questions that came up. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the West Virginia area!

Summary: We were not able to stay after we arrived due to a very strong cleaning solution fragrance. When I made the reservation I requested no fragrances. The overall appearance of the cabin was disappointing. The neighbors were close by and the dirt lane to the cabin was narrow and rutted. Dealing with our host, Tony, was the bright spot of the experience. He quickly answered my texts and was able to get us the partial refund that we requested.

Summary: Lovely relaxing weekend! The cabin is great - big windows in the main part with a comfy main bed. It rained a lot of the weekend so we didn’t get to spend time on the porch but it looked nice! Hot tub was wonderful and looks right out onto the golf course (fun people watching). The sports center pool Is really nice and host was easy to communicate with.

Summary: Beautiful property, quiet, and very spacious. This property had everything we were looking for in a getaway. My family enjoyed our time together here. We did have a power outage and I let Tony know as soon as the power went out. He was quick to respond and even gave updates. Loved the communication from Tony throughout our whole experience. Definitely would stay here again and at another one of his properties.
