Positive: This is a clean, comfortable, well-run traditional hotel in an old building right on the walls of the old town. The rooms are decent-sized with good shower-bathroom, safe, kettle, minibar etc. Breakfast was first-rate and there is a bar for a nightcap or warm-up cocktail. Helpful & friendly staff. It's a 15-min walk to the station and two minutes to the cathedral with the Giorgione altarpiece. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, but we really liked the inventive Osteria Maniscalco.

Positive: Good looking venue. Excellent room, although the light switches were a mystery. All areas including the bedroom kept exceptionally clean and tidy by a well trained, friendly and efficient team. The reception staff were both efficient and helpful. The waiting staff seemed to have limitless patience and were both helpful and kind.
Negative: I'm afraid the evening dinners did not live up to the level of the food offerings in the mountains. For example the self-service restaurant at the top of Fofana lift was truly unbelievably excellent in comparison. Something that I did not expect. After two nights I gave up eating dinner at the hotel and went to the Venezia Bar/Restaurant about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. A great venue used by locals, and the many construction workers in town because of the huge building projects going on for next year's Olympics. The residents reception/seating area feels as though you are in a corridor and the bar has very limited stock.
