Hotel in Oberau

Our hotel is located in beautiful Oberau, in the Zugspitzland, in the middle of the Loisachtal. Excellent hiking trails and cycle paths are easily accessible from our family-run hotel. The Garmisch-Partenkirchen ski area is 5.6 mi away from our Hotel Alpenhof. There is a pizzeria in the house, which is not operated by us. There are enough parking spaces available and are free of charge. Our sauna is only open in the winter season.

Positive: No breakfast. Our room was upgraded which was a very nice gesture. Convenient location, didn’t hear traffic.

Negative: It was very hot so we had the windows open. Unfortunately the smell of cigarette smoke often came into our room.

Positive: Short walk to good restraunts and a short drive to Garmish-Partenkirchen for shopping and skiing.

Negative: Breakfast was not available, a coffee set up in the room would have helped to offset this.
