Positive: The location of the property was good

Negative: One of the staffs who was incharge on 7th and 8th morning was terrible. She was very rude to us but she was speaking fine to other guests. This happened multiple times during our breakfast on 7th and 8th April. Felt racism from her towards us. We had a discussion about the tourist tax which I agreed to pay. When I was waiting the reception, she just went in without saying anything. Then I asked if I can continue loading the luggage in the car and come back, she was like “No no” as if we were about to escape without paying the fee. My wife and daughter (3 months old) were still sitting at the reception and I was only loading the luggage. This happened in front of other guests. This felt so bad for us and we’re very much upset about it. Just because we are Indians we don’t deserved to be treated like that. We didn’t do anything wrong during our stay and it really bothers us even now when we think about it.

Positive: The breakfast came included with the room, it was a very welcome extra plus. Staff was helpful and we got the Thun guest card for public transportation and some sightseeing places very easily. The bus stop was immediately next to the hotel. The mountain view in Thun was gorgeous. The stay was definitely worth the price.

Negative: Bed was too soft for my bad back

Positive: Rooms were old but clean, the breakfast had limited options but good enough. Location was excellent, easily accessible by bus and close to the lake. Staff at the breakfast and restaurant were super kind and friendly.

Negative: The lady at the reception was clearly distracted and impatient. We did not feel welcomed during check-in and throughout our multiple interactions with her over several days. She did not offer the free bus pass that was included in the booking to us and got obviously annoyed we asked about this.

Summary: Ok in terms of quality but poor service from the receptionist.

Positive: The amneties and location.

Negative: There is a no parking in the hotel premises. However you can park at a public car park which is like 3 minutes walk away and costs around 5-7 Francs per day. But since its a public car park keep your valuables with you.

Summary: Overall a good hotel but I would say need a bit of improvement in the breakfast items since they are very limited.
