Positive: Owner is lovely and very helpful for queries I had about changing dates of my stay. Within good walking distance of the restaurants and beach. Air conditioning was perfect and really kept the room cool.
Negative: Quite an aged hotel. Small TV that did not work, shower was quite finicky, some lights not working. No option to opt out of daily room clean like hanging sign on a door as some hotels allow. Plugs were slightly different to typical European plugs and I couldn't fit mine into a socket.

Positive: We stayed in a family room which was very practical and spacious. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There was parking in front of the hotel which was great. The communication with the host was easy and the area was really nice.

Negative: Very cold in the rooms, we got cold. Also loud, you can hear everything on the street. Bed was really hard and pillows not good.

Positive: The swimming pool was great; the sunbeds were always available, and the water was nice. It is a quiet neighbourhood, but it is at a fair distance from the beach and the center. The room was clean, they emptied the trash and made our bed every day. Nice balcony.
Negative: Only one trashcan in the room, it was not enough for two people. It would be wise to get another one for the room. The staff was only speaking Italian or he only wanted to speak Italian, it was okay because my friend spoke Italian but in different cases, it would be hard to ask for information in English. Moreover, the staff was never friendly, the owner had the same face every day, never asked how we liked the room or never even smiled at us. It seems that it is only a business for them not a passion. The breakfast was very simple and the same every day. Cold cuts were the same, the egg was a disaster (I think they made it from powder), coffee was terribly weak and seemed cheap (in Italy?), but there were many types of croissants and cakes. I understand that Italians don't eat salty breakfast but if you run a hotel, it is a must to accomodate to international guests. Celle Ligure is a nice town, however be prepared that you will not find any restaurants with cosy food, only fish and pizza. However, in high season it was impossible to get a table without reservation. It was very inconvenient when you realized that you have no chance to have dinner. It is a place for Italians, that was sure, they only prepare for Italian guests, it seemed.
Summary: Not guest friendly but good for a sleep

Positive: The hotel is a typical family-run establishment you can find in Liguria. The location is quite good, as you can walk to the charming city center in just 5 minutes. The hotel has limited parking, but the owner managed to find a spot for us. The swimming pool is very nice, and we had it almost to ourselves, even though we traveled in August. The room, including the bathroom, was spacious. The breakfast was very good, offering different options to choose from. Overall, it was a great stay.
Negative: The only negative point is that in the family room we stayed in, there was a bunk bed with several exposed metal parts, which we had to cover with towels since we had a child sleeping there. Renovating that bed would probably be the only improvement needed.
