Summary: The hotel public areas are quite attractive and stylish. The winter pool and gym are quite small. My room was very comfortable and clean with pretty much everything I needed. I definitely appreciated the individually controlled thermostat and the excellent house-keeping. However, this is a noisy hotel in so many respects. There are two areas of major construction near the hotel which make a great deal of noise during the daylight hours. Not the hotel’s fault of course. One evening some guests participated in a party and made a great deal of noise in my hallway. The noise abated after I complained to front desk, but started again an hour or so later. These guests really felt entitled to make noise it seemed. Again not the hotel’s fault. No sleeping late at the Hotel Arts though when housekeeping does their work. Of course, housekeeping needs to do what they need to do, but it reflects on the hotel’s poor sound proofing. Additionally, there was an odd rumbling noise from the bathroom vent, most often in the morning. I wondered if it was from a laundry or trash chute. Don’t know for sure.

Summary: The smoke detector batteries were dead and began beeping at 4:00 a.m. The replacement date listed was 2026, so this should have been addressed prior to our stay. When we informed the front desk the following day, the employee was not very apologetic and did not offer any form of compensation. Additionally, the bed frame was peeling and in rough condition. We have had good experiences here in the past, but unfortunately we were unhappy with our stay on this occasion.
