Summary: My room did have an ocean view as promised, however the slated ceiling meant i couldnt stand upright at the window. The shower door came off the shower as soon as i got out. I told the desk staff about it the following morning but no one ever came to fix it. However the room was clean and a good size for my needs. There is an elevator, but you have to climb 3 sets of stairs to get there, and only goes to the 4th floor. To get to my room on the 5th floor were 2 sets of stairs. The desk clerk upon my arrival helped me carry my suitcase up to my room. I got very sick my 2nd day there, and didn't have the energy to go out. I called for room service but was told it was not available at that time. The desk clerk offered to come to my room to show me how to use their wifi to order and pick up food locally. When he came to my room and could tell i was sick, he helpfully offered to puck up the food i wanted, took the cash i offered, and brought back my food and change. He was very nice, but in my fatigue and illness, i neglected to tip him- my apologies to him!

Summary: It's more like a youth hostel than a hotel. Or maybe a hotel run by college kids. It really brought back memories of travelling in Europe as a kid! Even though Expedia says there's air conditioning, there isn't, so you have to leave the windows open. Not a problem except: 1) you in one of the noisiest areas of France (street musicians played in front of my window until midnight and police sirens all night) and 2) the mosquitos are as big as olive pits. It's kind of like camping in the vieux port of Marseille. I've heard the 'free' breakfast is good, but no one came to serve us. No bother, there are plenty of good bakeries within walking distance. There's discounted parking a few blocks away, but the discount didn't work for me. Anyway, we felt like college kids on a Eurail pass again!

Summary: Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This was a stopover from a cruise to a flight home& as such I had a lot of baggage. The first floor checkin has been mentioned before but the staff were exceptionally helpful in getting my bags to/ from my room. Rooms very clean & modern design with a view that can’t be beat over the old harbour. Double glazing cut out all noise from a busy area on a Saturday night. Air conditioning controlled by reception staff so ask if too warm/cold.
