Positive: The personnel is super friendly and nice although they only speak Spanish, great food, relaxed environment in the middle of the busy town. Safe for a Solo Female Traveler. Nice cute cats.
Negative: It is a bit noisy as is next to one of the main streets but I could sleep well.

Positive: The staff and the owner of the hotel were extremely welcoming and the grounds were EXCEPTIONALLY beautiful. Looks, however, don't count for anything when you've been traveling for days and just want a clean, comfortable place to sleep! The first room I was assigned was full of the smell of mold & mildew and I had to ask to be moved, which was accommodated immediately. I appreciated the HOT water in the shower. I also really appreciated the location--I could walk to everything in Coban except the bus station.
Negative: Regardless of the price, the room was so tiny that I had to sleep with my backpack at the foot of my single bed. There was no place else to put it without tripping over it to go the bathroom; unpacking was not an option. Also regardless of the price, the water in the shower should drain out as quickly as it flows in--not a priority, it seems, in Central America. By the time I finished showering & rinsing the soap out of my hair I was swimming in 1-2 inches of standing soapy water.
Summary: Very disappointing
