Positive: Amazing big and spacious hotel. Very quiet and relaxing. On top of a hilll. One side of hotel with garden and pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The other side overlooking the smalll bay/beach in the quiet fishing village of Puerto Angel. We had a family room for 5. Plenty of space and very comfortable and clean. 5 minute walk on back path to village and swimming beach. Village is not built up for mass tourism. Nice and quiet and very laidback. Friendly and we felt safe walking at night. Really good and helpful communication with hotel owner Mauricio before and during our stay. He helped organize a boat and snorkelling trip where we saw turtles. Good breakfast with a good selection. A fridge available in kitchen. One of our favorite hotels in Mexico. We could have stayed longer than 3 nights.

Positive: Would recommend Casa Rush for anyone wanting to trying out Puerto Angel (the more rural of the downs on the Oaxaca coast). We had a great time here and might have even preferred it to Mazunte! The rooms were simple but clean and the pool was a blessing during the heat. Breakfasts in the morning were a lovely inclusion. The hotel is just a short walk uphill from the town so really easy to get about to and from Make sure you go to El Rincon Del Cafe for dinner on the beach. Great food and drinks and lovely views (the fish/prawns are fantastic!)

Positive: Wonderful facilities. Amazing pool area. Great breakfast included. Well equipped, shared kitchen for other meals. Wonderful ocean view. Saw whales. Staff were exceptional!

Negative: Nothing. If you are walking, it's a 10 minute walk to town/beach, down a cement stair path. And then back up. Otherwise drive or taxi is 2 minutes. Not an issue.

Summary: Planned to stay 4 nights but liked it so much we added on 2 more nights.
