Positive: The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The location is good, easy to walk to the lake and close to bus stops. A ticano was provided and it was very useful

Negative: The air conditioning didn't work well, or I couldn't figure out how to make it work well.

Negative: Three things were poor. First, the hotel staff leave the hotel at 2pm (pm, not am, just to be clear) and everything after that is shut down. Guests can only go in and out of a side door, and then just to their rooms, no other access to any other part of the hotel is possible. We were given instructions how to get in to our room after 2pm, and we were ok, but in 21st century Switzerland, is this normal hotel practice? I have travelled a lot in the world and and I have never stayed in a hotel that effectively closes in the afternoon. Second, please dont bother with the included breakfast, its pathetic. Finally, the "city tourist tax" added 25 euros to our bill, and if we knew about that beforehand (and Booking.com must be clearer about these additional charges when reserving) we might have chosen somewhere else.

Positive: The location is very good, central, the lake, the city center & etc are all in a 5-10 min walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful, explained every detail to assist us in planning our trip.

Negative: The reception closes at 8 pm. And the breakfast could be improved.
