Negative: Not qualified as four star hotel. Breakfast is messy, you have to stand next to a cooker to boil your own eggs or otherwise it will be gone missing (few times!!)

Positive: Spacious room with seating area and balcony. Comfortable bed. Good choices of cooked and continental breakfast. Very convenient to tram stop for exploring the city.
Negative: Nothing. Location might not suit some, due to distance from the old town, but public transport in Lyon is cheap and easy to navigate.

Positive: I thank the universe that I chose this hotel for a 1-day stay. I was traveling with my children to the Mont Blanc competition from Spain, and stayed for 1 night in Lyon. to rest. Great location, literally 4-5 minutes from the train station, great view from the room - a church, great conditions, good breakfast, and most importantly - incredible staff.And the reason is not just politeness, but the actions of the staff in critical situations. On the day of departure, after breakfast, I returned to the room to finish a few things on the computer and pack my things, and I suddenly and severely hurt in the area under the ribs.It was a hell of a pain, my children were scared, the staff came quickly, called an ambulance, the manager held my hand the whole time, calmed my children, who were already in shock, because I was screaming in pain, and after, when the ambulance took me away, the staff stayed with my children, bought them food,and upon my return they offered me 1 free night at the hotel! And this help is so priceless for me! I will be eternally grateful! Now I will choose only this hotel in Lyon!

Positive: I had the superior room and liked the extra space eg. Loo in separate room from bathroom. Big mugs for self making tea. Instant hot water in shower. Heavy velvet blackout curtains. Very quiet with no street noise. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast Al fresco if fine day. Short walk to tram, metro and train station Perrache.
Negative: It is just outside the Vieux-Lyon or centre ville. Although you are away from all the tourists.
Summary: Value for money with short walk to all forms of public transport.
