Summary: Spotlessly clean room with a rack for my suitcase and somewhere to put unused cushions so as to keep them off the floor. Not a lot of interaction with staff but what there was was pleasant and helpful. I guess my biggest concern was what would happen if the lift broke down as I certainly couldn’t have managed the stairs. No tea (or other hot drink) making facilities, but that’s not the end of the world.

Summary: Hotel De Champagne is right across the street from the train station. Couldn't be in a more convenient location. We were welcomed and made to feel at home. The staff provided us with an extra pillow and were very helpful in responding to all of our requests during our 3 nights there. The Angers Castle and Cathedral, stores and restaurants are all close enough to walk to.
