Positive: the rooms were very comfortable, and spatious . hotel itself is very elegant and a historic place, which adds some flair on it. definitely a very good stay

Negative: the checkin is a bit confusing since there is no physical desk so you have to wait a bit until you figure out . nothing important.

Positive: Excellent location right at the center of the town. Clean, large room and large bathroom with all facilities including an espresso machine. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant and bar at the hotel available.

Negative: The height of the shower faucet in the bathroom could not be regulated

Positive: Very spacious room, clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. We chose this hotel primarily bc of its historical significance as it is where the Germans surrendered to the Canadians in May 1945. The capitulation room is now the bar/lounge and there are numerous pictures and newspaper clippings around marking its historical significance.

Negative: There really wasn't anything we didn't like, although for light sleepers I would mention that it was somewhat noisy outside. We were there on a Friday night, so possibly more foot traffic than usual.

Summary: Can't beat this hotel for the historical significance. We would definitely stay there again.
