Other Policy You are advised to bring your own vehicle as the property is not serviced by public transport, in order to reach the property you should follow the ss36 direction lecco. take the first exit for abbadia lariana and follow the street beside the lake. when reaching varenna, turn left for varenna center and through the village. at the bridge, turn right for esino lario and after some curves again turn right for vezio/vezio castle. follow the directions for the castle and the restaurant il portichetto, a surcharge of 25€ applies for arrivals after check-in hours (10 pm). for arrival after midnight will be applied a surcharge of 50€. surcharges will be applied for room booked. all requests for late arrival are subject to confirmation by the property, unheated pool. jacuzzi open from may 1st to october 15th.please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation, guests are required to show a photo id and credit card upon check-in. please note that all special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply, hot tub/jacuzzi is closed from 2026-04-15 until 2025-10-15

Positive: This stay is owned by a family and you can tell because they make you feel apart of theirs. I couldn’t fault this stay. It was my favourite by far. Friendly staff, clean rooms, free breakfast with a beautiful view (the Croissant’s are amazing), Great location town is just a 10 min walk down a hill and they have a bus shuttle that runs after 7pm to get a lift back up so it’s perfect. We also had dinner at their restaurant there and that was a great option if you don’t want to go into town and stay local. We loved staying in the guesthouse by the pool having some spritz and patting their dog pipo! (Who is the goodest boy) Thanks again for an amazing stay!

Positive: Very clean, spacious rooms. Nice pool. Laundry machine available. Decent breakfast. Walk to varenna.
Negative: The walk back up to hotel is not easy. Probably takes 20 minutes and is fairly steep. Would not recommend to older folks or people who don’t want to hike. It was harder than I thought it would be and very hard to get an uber or taxi so beware.

Positive: Little gem in Perledo, with stunning views over the lake and the surrounding area, and a short walk to Varenna. Rita, and staff, were very accommodating and warm. We were picked up by a taxi in the train station, and we could check-in earlier and leave our suitcases in the room. We felt that we could have stayed way more than 2 nights if time allowed!
