Positive: I liked the public space... the outdoor covered seating on the street, the art and bright colors on the corridor walls, and the small kitchen. It felt cheerful during our rainy 3 day stay. The room was spacious with ample closet space and balcony with views of nearby forested hills. Perfect location for exploring city.

Positive: A very pleasant, well-run, hotel, in a nice quiet part of a very pleasant city. The staff were always polite and helpful (and spoke excellent English). I asked for a quiet room, and was given one, so that I slept well, and everything worked as it should - warm water in the shower, a plug in the basin which held water, lights that turned on and off both in bed and at the door, all things one ought to be able to take for granted but too often fail somewhere. But not here!
Negative: This isn't really a complaint, but for 20 francs the breakfast would be expensive if, like me, you only want a cup of coffee and a croissant. The staff directed me to a nearby cafe which gave me what I wanted, but perhaps the hotel should consider offering a smaller breakfast at a lower price.
Summary: Made an important contribution to a very enjoyable short holiday

Negative: Even though breakfast is officially offered from 7 to 10, a few things were missing at 9:30. But that‘s okay. What I didn‘t like was that the breakfast buffet was already being undone at 9:45 while we were having breakfast (in time). The parking situation in St. Gallen worsened in the past years - you can‘t leave your car on public parking overnight without paying. The hotel has a cooperation with a nearby parking for CHF 19, which is kind of a fair price. The parking garage, however, is rather tight.

Positive: The room was spacious, the bed comfy and the pillows were perfect. The room and bathroom were spotless as well. Breakfast had plenty of options and not crowded. Location was central, close to the parking as well. Would highly recommend and would stay again.
