Positive: The hotel has a wonderful heated pool that we could use at the end of October. Also very close to the sea for nice walks. Has also a play room for kids and a very good breakfast!

Positive: The Hotel is at the perfect location in Lovran with its own small beach and close to old town and Opatija. The hotel has 2 saltwater pools as well so, together with the sea just under the hotel it is perfect for families with small children, who has difficulties to travel a lot during the holidays. Here you will have a chance to actually get to the sea :). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The half-board is basically a nice all-inclusive during breakfast and dinner time with good variety. We had to cancel our stay a bit earlier due to a personal loss and both the hotel staff and Liburnia was helpful, flexible and understanding. We wish to return to one of the locations at Liburnia and thank you for the whole Team.
Negative: The animation for kids is outsourced to "LIRI", the staff responsible for looking after kids were not very responsive, didn't play with the kids was just sitting in random places and looking at their mobile phones. After sharing feedback with management, they were very receptive and quickly changed this for the better. The dinner serving starts at 7pm which is a bit late if you have children. If you book a sea view room, be prepared that the evening activities are also happening on the seaside so with the acoustics you are up for a noisy evening until about 11pm.

Positive: The restaurant downstairs "the tavern" was good. The room was cleaned daily, as well as the pool. The staff was extremely kind, especially the waitress Ana, who was very quick and kind. She made us feel very welcome and at home.
Negative: The towels smelled terrible, like a mix of vinegar and ketchup. The hotel restaurant was absolutely terrible, the food was huge disappointing and in comparison to the huge restaurant, the buffet was tiny. You had to wait in line for every single meal, no matter the time you arrived. The food they served was so low effort, far from the traditional croatian cuisine we were used to eating on the croatian coast. Most evenings it was chicken and potatoes, and the desserts were flavoured whipped cream.
