Positive: We liked the spacious room, balcony and the comfy bed

Negative: Almost everything could be made better. Toilet: its door prevents the entrance door from opening; Bathroom: not even a single hook for clothes/towels inside, no curtain for the shower, the soap was provided, however no shelf for it; the room: two chairs and no table to put a glass on it, the fridge didn't work, no tea/coffee facilities what in combination with restaurant absence makes it complicated, the pillows were awful; reception: despite the booking.com info reception doesn't speak English or German - luckily I understand some Czech, Ukrainian and Russian but our neighbors were Finnish :) the yard: no established parking space, the fallen leaves not removed since last autumn, metal staircase from the yard to the breakfast room doesn't look safe. All in all: we booked the room over 6 months ago and drastic changes have been made in the hotel since that time. As I understand, the business owners divided the hotel into two parts and the one which is open now has no restaurant, nor wellness, nor pool, no proper parking - just literally nothing. Even now the pictures in booking.com are from that old good times which is very misleading. We traveled with the small dogs and expected that the hotel would be charging as they wrote, 'per night', however, they charged the declared rate 'per dog per night' which is several times more; why did they write it so misleadingly? In terms of value for money this hotel has my lowest mark.

Positive: What a surprise it was. A post-socialism gem walking distance from a lake, with a nice view of the Brno. We were late to meet an english speaking personel, but with modern day technology language isn't a barrier anymore. The personel was very friendly and helpful. The room we got far exceeded our expectations. Breakfast options were plentiful. This is a hotel definitely worth going to.
