Summary: This is an older hotel that has been nicely refurbished. I found it to be comfortable and quiet. My room faced the street and I did not hear any noise during the night. It is located close to the waterway and it is a nice walk along there. There are restaurants, shopping and a good atmosphere in the area. You can walk as there are bridges over the waterway or take the water taxi to the old walled city. I would stay there again if visiting Fredrikstad.

Summary: A lovely restoration of an old hotel although rooms are just a little small to be able to spread out two suitcases comfortably. staff were fantastic and breakfast was good although coffee was a little weak for my taste. in fairness I like my coffee stronger than most folks. Comfortable beds and good shower but it would have been nice to have more space to put things.
