Other Policy Please note that some rooms can only be reached by going outside, how to drive to accommodations by car:, on the highway e17/e40 direction “gent” take the exit “gent centrum” (b401), follow “alle richtingen”, then turn left under the bridge and follow direction “eeklo”, this is the “sint lievenslaan”. continue down this street “charles de kerkhovelaan, godshuizenlaa, marterlaarslaan, einde were” (1.6 mi), at intersection “einde were - nieuwewandeling” turn right, at the traffic lights (direction centrum-gevangenis), you are now in the “nieuwewandeling (n430)”, continue down this road to intersection “brugsepoortstraat”. turn right here, follow the road “hoogstraat” until the end, you will then arrive at “poel”. turn left, into the drabstraat”, (!) attention, you are now entering the car-free zone (!), it is important to call the reception of the hotel to ask for an available parking space or pass along the license plate of the car, turn left, onto the “jan breydelstraat. halfway down the street you will find the parking lot, on the left side, guests are kindly requested to contact (or leave a comment in the special requests box) the hotel if they require an extra bed in their room, breakfast is served during the following hours:, 06:30 – 10:00 during the week, 07:00 – 10:30 during the weekend, please note that for reservations of 5 or more rooms, different group conditions (policies) can apply.

Positive: Fabulous room in a lovely hotel. Prime location.
Negative: I’m afraid for a reasonably expensive hotel, the concierge service was only just acceptable. Far more interested in computer screen than greeting guests or checking on their wants/needs. Once key card given, the rest was up to you - including working out where the room was. Unimpressed. The breakfast though, for me, was a real low. Everything buffet style with no one at all keeping an eye on things. My limited language skills failed me on the tea/coffee maker and to only serve a low calorie, ghastly butter substitute was very poor. Real shame as it was otherwise an excellent place to stay.
Summary: Great room and location, let down by poor breakfast.

Positive: The hotel was very convenient to explore the old city limits, close to all amenities without having to walk very far. The hotel room itself was spacious and had everything we need for a very comfortable 4night break

Positive: Location was excellent. Reception was not knowledgeable about anything, not particularly friendly, weather was v cold and so was bathroom floor which was v cold so didn’t have a hot shower which I wanted to have. The single bed next to the wall was more appropriate for a child rather than an adult so I didn’t get much sleep
Negative: The hotel needs a decent person at reception who can answer even basic questions and perhaps be a little bit friendly. He was completely disinterested in his work
Summary: Great location, clean, no helpful info from reception. Didn’t see anyone most of time we were there

Positive: The location was amazing with great access to main areas of the citg. The room was spacious for its price, and the bed was comfy.
Negative: The room was full of mosquitoes ( we killed more than 10 ). I requested mosquito repelent, and they gave it to me. And it worked a little bit. There is an elevator for the upper floors. However, there are still some rooms that you need to take extra stairs.

Positive: Everything was great. The room was very clean, the staff were very polite and helpful, and the breakfast was good enough. We asked for a room with a view, and we got the greatest view possible.

Positive: The location is very central near the castle so great for accessing the city. The staff were very welcoming and we reserved a parking space which worked well as we have a zero emissions vehicle and it is a restricted zone.
