Positive: The hotel was a ten minute walk from the train station. The man on reception was nice, along with other members of staff that I met during my stay. The size of the room was good for a double room. Everything worked.
Negative: There was a strong air freshener type smell. As pets are allowed to stay at the hotel that could be the reason for it. It was never overpowering but certainly present. The hotel is situated back from the main shopping area. To the beach is probably a 10 to 15 minute walk. There were small supermarkets around the hotel but the better supermarket, which is bigger, is about a ten minute walk away.
Summary: Good option.

Positive: Perfect location for me, close to friends I was visiting. The breakfast was scrumptious, considering there were only 3 people that morning, the food was fresh and abondant, great coffee, a good selection of savory and sweet options.

Positive: This hotel has wonderful location where we are easily reach the train station, city center and a lot of attraction sites. The staff is so nice and helpful. The breakfast is very nice. The room is clean, warm, quite and comfortable. The WiFi works also very well. If we visit Rapallo next time, we like to stay in this nice hotel again.
