Positive: Good location and lovely room with a kitchen so we were able to have some meals and snacks easily and more cost effectively. They even allowed us to check in early which was convenient.

Negative: We were a group and had 2 vehicles as we drove from multiple locations. The limited parking available and in surrounding areas would have been a huge issue had we not been able to squeeze our 2 cars into the 1 allotted space. The room was tidy but quite dusty, and although coffee was to be part of the freely available amenities, we only had enough for 1 pot. Also the kettle was broken. Text messages to the hotel management team went unacknowledged.

Summary: We had fun, with just a few snags.

Positive: Nicely designed, great kitchen and lots of thoughtful details like coffee,olive oil, sparkling water etc. Comfortable beds, great shower We were in a downstairs middle unit, (flat 3)but could not hear any street noise

Negative: It’s a little out of town, but if you take a back route through the neighbourhood (vs Main Street), it is a nice walk.

Positive: A peaceful location and very convenient to the downtown (Stratford) and the theatres. Room was well appointed and the bed was supremely comfortable (BONUS!). Onsite, designated parking spot and hosts very responsive to questions.

Positive: Cute place. We had room 2 and we liked the decor. Kitchenette was well stocked. There was a microwave, toaster,kettle, fridge.

Negative: More shelves are needed in the bathroom. Unfortunately the walls were quite thin and we could hear someone snoring in the next room. Another person was talking on her phone and we could hear her entire conversation.

Positive: Hotel Julie is charming and a short walk to downtown restaurants, shops, the Avon Theatre, Shakespeare Park, walks along the river. We drove to the Festival Theatre but you could walk that too. No reception staff (each room has a coded entry) but Noel, the owner, was easy to reach by phone or text, and was very friendly and helpful. Our room was stylishly decorated; the kitchenette and the bathroom were exceptional (too bathroom sinks:). We loved the high ceilings and sense of space. The bed was comfortable and the TV had lots of apps to access (Netflix, Prime, sports apps etc., but no TV channels). Each unit has a designated parking spot.

Negative: We are a senior couple and didn’t check for Accessibility. We had unit #9 which was large and comfortable and we were delighted to have a ground floor room. However the bed had a round platform base that we had to negotiate to get on and off the bed. The bathroom had a bath/shower combination with a beautiful deep tub that was difficult to climb into or get out of. If you have any disability issues we would advise you check with the owner so that he can match you with the right room.
