Positive: The hotel is in the most fantastic position close to the historic centre and with a restaurant terrace overlooking the lake and the island. Our room had a generous balcony with the same beautiful view. The room and en-suite were clean and the bed comfortable. The restaurant was good and the reception team were friendly and helpful.
Negative: The decor of the common parts of the hotel is tired and needs updating. The room was simple with few creature comforts. The restaurant staff while not actively unfriendly were a bit brusque. We last came to Lake Orta some 35 years ago - we have moved on but this hotel feels a bit stuck in a time warp,

Positive: Excellent location and easy to get to from the Milian airport. The front desk staff went above and beyond to facilitate our family. We have an 11 month old and they were incredible helping us meet her needs. The pool facility is wonderful. The views are 10/10. So easy to walk every where.
Negative: The AC in our room did not work very well. But our family had 3 rooms and only 1 had bad AC.
Summary: It was wonderful, would definitely stay here again!

Negative: We thought our room had a balcony as in the photos when booked on booking . Com but we had no balcony. Staff said some rooms had a balcony and some not. We were offered an upgrade with a balcony for one of our 3 nights for 30 euros/ night but it was a hassle to shift for just one night so stayed in original room.

Positive: The pool is beautiful, and from the restaurant there is a great view of the lake. The room is nice and quiet. Breakfast was good. Easy short walk into the village.
Negative: The wifi access was difficult, with log-in required several times a day. The access was also not secure, which caused the laptop to block the connection.

Positive: This is an authentic family run italian alpine hotel. Our room 314 was SUPERB with fantastic views of Lake Orta and the island from a good size balcony you could sit in private . The room was typical italian alpine - NOT contemporary. Fabulous size and really nice bathroom with jacuzzi bath for two and a separate shower. there was also a bidet. The staff were very friendly. We ate in the restaurant every night ( 3 night stay) and had the set daily menu (40 euros per person for 4 courses), the quality of the food and the presentation was outstanding. There is a lovely pool but we did not swim in it. It is a very shot walk, slightly downhill into the centre of Orta.
Negative: Should have stayed longer!

Positive: Nice view from the restaurant. When we got at the hotel, they asked us if we wanted to eat at their restaurant. A reservation was needed, but we were allowed in immediately. Cute little balcony with a nice view, even though it wasn't at the little island of Orta. We were allowed to park the car after checking out for a few hours so we could explore the village and island.
Negative: unfortunately the pool wasn't open yet, but the weather was a bit cold anyways
