Positive: Room was clean and comfortable but absolutely no frills - not even a bedside lamp
Negative: My directions for arriving were vague. I needed to have been told that my room was accessed down a dark stairway to the parking area. ( not the garden as was stated). I spent 15 mins in the dark trying to find room location.

Positive: Check in from 12 pm. Balcony with sea view (and beautiful sunrise). Fridge (quiet) and stainless steel kettle. Short walk to tourist information office, Citadel and old town, railway station and beach. Big shower cubicle. Without the sea view from balcony, we would not have enjoyed our stay as much
Negative: Only 1 bedside table. No room for suitcases but OK for a short stay.

Positive: Great location and value for the price point. Bonus tip, owners are affiliated with an excellent Italian food restaurant called, Baccanale, which is a short walk from the hotel. Highly recommend both!

Negative: Our bed broke, the property waited another day before replacing it. We tried to fix it, but it broke again the second night They tried to fix it, but realized it could not be fixed and brought in another bed.

Positive: Nice room- high windows-newly refurbished Virginie was helpful and friendly Coffee good in small breakfast area Very near town
Negative: No garden, bar or restaurant as claimed. Front area needs upgrade- could be a nice place to sit. Steep stairs to 1st floor. Couldn’t have managed with heavy cases if on 2nd!Bathroom door did not close. Room not tidied- were we supposed to ask?
Summary: It was fine for a couple of nights. Kept thinking there must be another section of hotel that we missed!

Positive: In general good location in Villefranche, close to the harbour, and in quiet area. Newly renovated nice rooms. Stayed both in room 14 and 15, very nice (sea)view and nice small balconies in both and prolonged my stay a couple of days. Really good value for money given location, view and newly renovated rooms. Pragmatic with check-in when arriving late.
Negative: Breakfast was standard in France, but the breakfast room a bit dark and small (would have been nicer to be able to sit outside during summer). But lots of opportunities to get breakfast outside close-by if you desire that (or to bring back to your balcony).
